I just want to say Aarons is a total scam. My daughter rented from them almost a solid year. NEVER late on any pay ments. She had 3 payments left on the item. Circumstances forced her for one time to be late on a payment. When aarons came to collect it she tried to give them the payment (3 days late). They refused a months payment. Demanded either the total pay off or the items right then. My daughter didnt have the total of the 3 payments so they took her items. For only 3 days. The other rental companies at least give you a week before they start demanding money or the items.
It seems a shame that you about have something about paid off and they want to take it and resell it for full amount.

My other daughter had a roommate rent from them. They constantly harrassed her(my daughter) and called her names. Threatened her when her roommate didnt pay on time stc. She kept telling them. My name is not on that contract. Quit bothering me.

They even blocked her in the drive way one day and would not let her leave her house. She called me on her cell phone crying because they kept yelling at her and banging on her car windows.

I think this is totally unprofessional, especially when you are harassing a person who did not sign an agreement with you. Aarons needs to hire better customer oriented people. To think NASCAR uses them as a sponsor. I am now questioning Nascar s integrity to be involved with such scam artists.

The last comment should be noted from where it came from!  ARRONS itself. the company has in its structure a branch which surches out compant reported against it and makes a reply but never indicated its them.Just read it.

The truth is simple, legally their refusal to take any payment is their own failure. THEY REFUSE TO MAKE ARRANGEMENTS LET THEM TAKE YOU TO COURT. Keep the money you offered and build up in savings other payments till it is heard in court. each month continue to offer your payments.

Late or partiAL PAYMENTS is the beast of their business.BUT not offering or paying something is your breach, thats why the charge high late payment fees.Hope this helps, good luck.

Thats what the courts are for ............. USE THEM!

Threats and Harassment

Did your daughter report the assault and unlawful imprisonment event that occurred in her driveway? Why didn't you call the police if your daughter calls crying and screaming that men have blocked her in her driveway and they are banging on her windows?

It is possible that your daughter is not telling you the whole story, instead embellishing her story out of indignation.

If a rent-to-own refused her payment, it is because she did not have enough $ to bring her account current + the next advance payment to keep the item. It is a pay-in-advance business. They have every right to recover their property, but then your daughter can just pick up on the payments again when she can afford it. It's all explained to them. She does not lose the leverage she has paid into it (if time passes and the item gets re-rented, she is offered a similar item).

The "threats and harassment" you describe sound like collection guys trying to either get Aaron's property back or payments owed. (I'm assuming a little bit of one-sided exaggeration in your story). Regardless, yeah, they keep calling and visiting until they make contact, work out a deal, or get their stuff back. This is because the collection guys are dealing with customers who have a history of financial blunders and unrealistic expectations.
