I got a riding mower, with the payments of (with tax) #80.87 per month. This was a rent to own, it was a used mower. I was never late wih a payment mostly early with my payments. The mower started backfiring when you were mowing finally it stopped all together. I called them and they finally came and picked it up.

After 3 weeks of them having the mower and not being fixed (I am still making payments) I called the store a girl named Catkin informes me the motor is blown up and I have to pay to fix it. I was told when I got the mower everything is cover on it except things that start with B's--belts, blades, battery oh and tires lights in other words every thing but the motor.. which has gone south. I have talked to a mower repairman and he said it sounds like I did nothing wronge, I checked the oil every time we started it, I even put my car cover over it to keep it from getting wet if it rained.

I feel they owe me 7 weeks payments plus being but holes, by not talking to me and putting some young girl on the phone companies like these need better regulations, if you get something and its not used they should have to let you have it at a cheaper rate, because someone has allready paid for it and now the are collecting twice or more for the same thing. I'm not rich or I would go pay cash for a new one..they are rip-off people...

After investigating this issue my findings are that Carol owes Aaron's money that we do not intend on collecting. The legally binding agreement Carol signed states the Aaron's does not cover neglect on the consumer's part. Ms. Farmer herself stated that her son had the police called on him for racing the lawn mower down their street. The damage done to the lawn mower was not normal wear and tear. The governor was removed which caused the engine to blow, and the lawn mower repair shop also stated that the engine was tampered with. The cost of repairs was over $700.00. Even though the repairs were due to the customer's neglect Aaron's still refunded Carol's last monthly payment of $80.87 due t it being in the repair shop for so long and her not having the merchandise in her possession that month. The monthly rate was a marked down rate from $130.76 a month due to the lawn mower being preleased. All of this was made aware to Carol during the closing of the agreement she signed. The request to be refunded her entire lease agreement is not only unreasonable but not going to happen. She had the lawn mower during the other months of her agreement and it is her legal obligation to pay for those months as she did. Aaron's has gone above and beyond our obligation to Carol and her requests are completely unreasonable. If there are any other questions in reference to this matter or any other matter they may be directed to our Divisional Office at 704-845-5064.
