After several attempts to see what medical groups would be in the network. There was no true answer, we stupidly gave up SSN and have placed blocks on our credit reports. This is truly a nightmare. The brochures are put together very professionally, the time has been taken to make everything glossy to look like the real deal.

How do we guard against such horrible misleading companies when we need to find affordable healthcare for my family at this time. Please, catch this scum, they all should get the maximum prison terms (life).

Association for Lifestyle Reform Adds Fraud Investigation Division to Protect Its Members

AUTHOR: ALR Association - (USA)

POSTED: Tuesday, February 23, 2010

Hotline set up for customers

Chino, CA - February 23, 2010 The Association for Lifestyle Reform  (ALR) recently added a Fraud Investigation Division for customers to contact if they believe they did not purchase what was originally promised by third-party marketers.

ALR is a membership-based organization that provides discounted services to its members, such as pre-paid legal services and discounts on vacations, auto rentals, and prescriptions. As a membership-based association, ALR is able to provide discounts on behalf of its members by obtaining group pricing, including limited supplemental insurance benefits.

ALR engages third-party marketing firms to sell memberships. The company carefully screens the marketing firms it works with and sets and provides guidelines when speaking with potential members; however, there have been instances where independent marketing firms deviated from ALRs guidelines. It is ALRs policy to ensure the security, privacy and satisfaction of its members. To that end, ALR has established a Fraud Investigation Division. The division will take customer complaints regarding the sales process and investigate the issues regarding the marketing firm involved.

We are very excited about being able to offer our product to people, however, some members have experienced an inferior sales process, said Brad Wessler, CEO of Association for Lifestyle Reform. Under no circumstances will we tolerate bad sales practices from the marketing firms we work with. Therefore, we set up a division specifically for this purpose and a toll-free number for our members to call.

About the Association for Lifestyle Reform

The Association for Lifestyle Reform, ALR, provides discounted benefits to its membership. Members benefit from the association purchasing benefits at group discounts. Although one of the many services include limited supplemental insurance benefits, the association does not sell or market health insurance.

Regulator Responds

AUTHOR: Ted - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, January 13, 2009

Gregg:

Believe it or not, regulators and enforcement agencies do read these reports. I am unable to help you directly because you live just outside my jurisdiction, but I can advise you to call the Oregon Insurance Division in Salem and file a report with their unauthorized entities unit.

To help you, this "association" is operated by a Brad Wessler who is connected to several other shaky health plans, such as "Consolidated Workers of America" and others. You might want to look up order # 0-69-642, issued 10/8/08 by the Colorado Insurance Commissioner. Although it is listed under the heading of Consolidated Workers Association, you will find WESSLER named on it as well. He formerly operated two other entities named "Integrated Health Benefits" and "Claims and Benefit Management", both located in Chino, CA. You can find a video presentation by WESSLER at:

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-7923543169208615908

This product is advertised on television, as are several other plans which may or may not be authorized. Mr. WESSLER is licensed as an insurance agent in several states, but OR and WA are not among them. I can find no record of ALR being licensed anywhere as an insurance agent. Mr. WESSLER, you are invited to contact me if you have any additional information I should be aware of.

Any Washington residents who may have enrolled in this plan are requested to contact me at the below address. We have recently become aware of a Washington enrollee and are opening an investigation into the activities of this entity and its associates.

Ted L. Bader, Chief Investigator
Legal Division
Office of Insurance Commissioner
POB 40255, Olympia, WA 98504 tedb@oic.wa.gov
