Dear Gwen,

Before you continue to slander me you may want to remember that slander is prosecutable, and you are bordering me doing so. 

1. You did not track down my signed documents at the auction because I did not send Nina to auction.  You tracked down a signed auction document from Morgan Cody, not Danielle Titland.

2.  I never received A single dime for selling Nina, and in fact I did not sell her... I thought I had placed her in good hands when I was running away from an indecent situation.

3.  You did state I could bring Nina back, however you had just lost your job and could not afford to feed her or the other two horses on your property. You had even offered one of your other horses to us at the time we picked up Nina, stating you could not feed them.  Also, at the time we picked up this little mare your property was laden with equine feeces and mud.  Additionally this mare was in extremely poor health, as an equine professional I was very uncomfortable with your care taking abilities and financial stability at that particular time.

4.  The Sherriff did get involved on both ends of this matter, with the results being stated as "Danielle Titland has not broken any laws and was not practicing fraud or misrepresentation in any way".  The accusations made by Gwen Kleary were thoroughly investigated, I stress the word thoroughly.

5.  The person whom "I" was to receive a free horse from in New Mexico was a set up by Eric DeSocio, he was the one to be taking that horse and using it as a lesson horse for his own profit.  This I am aware of ....that you did not track this horse down, you received several altered emails on the subject from Eric DeSocio himself.

Written for Karen Pomeroy as a part of her marketing plan.  Karen Pomeroy herself referred Gwen to me.  Fact, this is how Gwen got in touch with me- through Karen, the owner of Equine Voices.  Not a misrepresentation, verifiable facts. (Also verified by the Sherriff).

7. In May and and also June of this year I was able to contact the purchasers of this mare, and the mare was in very good hands. 

In closing, I feel confident that although Gwen is slandering me across the internet in a quest to make herself feel better about the situation, that I have done the correct thing in light of my own circumstances and in light of any circumstances that this mare would have faced going back to Gwen's property "at that time"...  with a side note, it is my understanding that now Gwen is employed and caring for her horses properly and has cleaned up her property due to some press coverage of the horse Solo Vino. 

If the fact that Gwen has slandered my name all over the internet along with other people who she feels have wronged her makes her feel better I am fully willing to indulge her with additional responses to her slanderous remarks, however there will be a point at which I gather all of this information (Craigs list postings, fraud postings, and animal abuse postings on too many websites to count) and sue for slander, which stated by Maricopa County Detectives, I will win. 

Aparently Danielle did not tell you the same story as the one that occurred.  I am simply stating the facts as they occurred and I had followed through with copies of the bill of sale that was signed by danielle and given to the auction.  I also told danielle that the horse could be brought back to me if for some reason she could not keep her and the horse was given free to her since she used her credentials as a volunteer and trustworthy individual.  Given my own investigation of the facts at hand regarding the pregnant mare I personally rescued from the killer buyer and I actually purchased with my own money to prevent her from going to slaughter ,yet I gave her away to someone who told me they directly involved in a rescue organization.  I have a signed agreement that danielle herself signed stating the horse would not be re-homed,sent to auction or slaguhter.  She came with her child,her dog, and her boyfriend to load up a horse that I had emotional ties with as her life was saved during christmas when we felt compelled to do so.  As far as I'm concerned this is a teaching moment and I have learned to be more careful and make the contracts more legal.  I have learned that you cannot believe what you see and need to investigate more prior to re-homing any horse.  I have also found that yes circumstances change and sometimes people have to find homes for their horses....however at no time did danielle make any effort to contact me to take the horse back or bring the horse to me rather then the auction.  As far as her personal problems I find the description of her personal indcidents irrevelent to what the actual misrepresentation is...which are > she signed an agreement...the horse ended up at auction and she told me she was someone she wasn't.  Those are the facts and I also found another person she was going to get a free horse from in New Mexico...so those are also the facts. 

I am flabergasted at the accusation in this report.  I have known Danielle Titland for 29yrs.  I was absolutely inraged when I seen this report. The antics you are stating are absolutely slander and 100% misrepresentation of the actual events of this situation.  You are stating your side of the transaction. Remember there are always two sides to every story.  I am aware of the transaction and the details regarding this incident.  Danielle does love and does do alot of charity work with animals and would NEVER sell a horse at auction.  In fact she devoted 3yrs of her life in Wa state buying horses back from a meat buyer and rehabing them to find loving caring homes. This was done with her own money and time.  She spent thousands of dollars doing this. I know at one time she had purchased 7 that were headed to Canada for slaughter and yes some of them truly had little or no hope left and she did not care. If she could save one life it was worth it to her.  As far as this transaction I do know about when she recieved this horse from this owner.  After she brought this mare to the place at that time where she was residing. she was so excited to care for this mare it was all she talked about.  Unfortunately,  a uncontrollable and very missfortunate circumstances happened and Dani was devastated that she found herself in that situation. A situation that was completely 100% out of her control!!!  I do know if she needed to she could produce all the documentation she would ever need to prove this.  She knew she had a very short time to find this mare a home and contacted a very good contact who in her past experience was a magnificent horse handler and takes very good care of their own animals.  She asked if they would care and rehab this mare with the one exception, that this person under no circumstance was to ever take this mare to auction and find this mare a loving, and proper home. Danielle would have never let this mare be transferred to this person if in any form or fashion she had any hint or thought they would do otherwise!!!! DANIELLE does not in no way SELL HORSES AT AUCTION!! SHE HAS NOT BEEN OPERATING IN SEVERAL STATES!!!  She does not go around missrepresenting herself.  Had Danielle not had the belief at that time she could take this mare in and care for her and give her a good home or rehab this mare to find her a loving home SHE WOULD HAVE NEVER TAKEN the mare.  I KNOW IF THE CIRCUMSTANCES DID NOT HAPPEN THIS MARE WOULD HAVE NEVER LEFT DANIELLE'S CARE AND FAMILY. Danielle would have NEVER let this mare go to this person unless she truly believed they would do as they stated and do nothing but give this mare a good home and care!  You truly are amazing at making up assumptions and elaborating on them to create a great story because you TRULY DON'T HAVE THE TRUE FACTS. You have a piece here and there of the true facts and have filed in your own blanks.  Obviously you had circumstance too or you wouldn't have let go of this mare! Well, you are not the only one and yes, Dani took the same steps when letting this mare go to another caregiver as you did.  Your anger is talking and you have totally miss characterized this person. Danielle is caring, knowledgeable in rehabing horses, honest, and reliable person. I would give Danielle ANY of my equine family if I needed to! As far as your statement: Be careful who you give your horse too... when you save a horse...try to follow through with where it is going...and get Drivers liceneses....signed contracts...as much information as you possibly can... I think this advice is fantastic and something that EVERYONE can use.

Dear Gwen, first off the accusations against Eric DeSocio are not accusations, they are facts.  He will pay for what he did to me in due time, no doubt that his previous jail time in Washington State and Kentucky did not teach him anything.  Facts, the outcome not in my hands anymore. These so called accusations were filed long before I left Eric's home by my family back in Washington, so to claim that I was doing this out of spite or some mental problem, well yes.... it does give a person mental problems to be raped anally while passed out, then to wake up in excruciating pain not knowing why.  Mental problems indeed, running across the nation, yes indeed running away from a MONSTER.   

As far as Equine Voices, I never said that she was a bad rescue.  She is one of the best in the entire nation, however she abandoned me when I was in need, simply to keep out of my problems, she had every blessed right to do so.  But I did not misrepresent that I was associated with her, and this is another simple clear cut fact... do a search on the internet and find my name associated with her rescue.. Again I say, more facts, or should I say articles and quotes, go take a gander.

The rest of this fiasco was very unfortunate and I can not stress enough that I had to keep the mare at Eric's place until I could bring her to Washington, and Eric said that she was crazy and she had to go.  This is nothing I can stop when I was living out of a hotel room and a car due to the other circumstances. Please also note this mare is 14 years old, not four as you stated, showing you did not represent the mare properly... no matter she was still cared for.  She was also very ill, and scared, however malnourished as well.

Please tell me why in the world I would tell you where this mare is so you can harass yet another normal family trying to make it in the world.  YOUR accusations and harassment are uncalled for on a subject that you are very out of touch with.  The mare is a perfect horse and living a blessed life, I hope that you can say enough for the horses in your fields, which I am sure you can.  I understand you did rescue Nina, but before you gave her to me, YOU yourself were trying to sell her on craigslist to the highest bidder, somthing like around 2500 that you couldnt get.  Lets get all the facts straight here.    

First of all let me say I am shocked at the accusations that are being made here on this website. I have heard some slanderous statements made however these made by danielle titland are extremely serious. I will however say a prayer for this poor unfortunate person who obviously has a serious mental condition and needs treatment for her disorder. I feel for her child who she drags with her when she clearly has no idea what she is doing. I also would like to defend equine voices rescue and sanctuary as they are the absolutely most dedicated organization I have ever seen, to saving lives of horses and educating the public on the abuse they suffer. This organization will go to extraordinary measures to help end the needless suffering of helpless horses who have been exploited by evil human beings. It is unfortunate that people like danielle exist however they do and that is why you must take every precaution when re-homing your 4 legged friend.
I know nothing of allegations of her "boyfriend" nor do I care to be involved in such despicable verbage or even the fact she would even say such slanderous things. I do however know from my own experience what happened to me and the horse I personally rescued. She was sold at auction and there is absolutely no way that danielle would know where she was at unless she had something to do with it. So danielle if you know where she is please let us know..because I personally know this is untrue and have uncovered your paper trail of lies.
I hope and pray that this lovely mare is in good hands but the fact she was taken fraudulently and sold back through auction makes me sick.

There is an ongoing investigation into Eric Desocio as I am not his only victim. A repeat offender with a serious sexual assault and abuse CONVICTION ON HIS RECORD, AS WELL AS MANY OTHER COURT CASES WHICH HE HAS BEEN ACCUSED OF THIS SAME THING. Eric PROMISED ME TO CARE FOR THIS HORSE. As I was driving away to go home to my family in Washington Eric sent me a text stating that he worked with the horse and she was crazy that he did not want her on his property, once again turning his back on someone in need. I called my friend who promised me he would care for the mare, and that I would be able to ship the horse up to Washington in a few weeks as planned.

In the meantime I was admitted to the hospital with anal tears requiring surgery. I could not reach the "friend" who was supposed to be caring for the horse, at this time both Equine Voices Rescue and Gwen Kleary wanted information on the whereabouts of this mare. I relayed information that she was taken to the vet and that she needed and had received care that I paid my "friend" to be sure was taken care of and that then all of a sudden I could not reach my "friend" (his name I choose not to involve him and take full responsibility myself for this).
