A very polite rep from Gateway contacted us last July, and explained how we would be saving significant amount on our utility bills if we switched to Gateway Energy. The offer seemed too good to pass on, and so we switched 3 of our accounts (personal and business) to them for electric and gas.
I have not noticed any savings, so after a while decided to call our original suppliers and compare the rates.
Guess what?
The original Orange and Rockland rate is 6.5 cent per kwt, and Gateway charges us 9.9 cents.
And PSE&G charges 0.54 per therm, and Gateway's "discounted rate" is 0.77! Significant savings indeed!

It's a rip-off company and a scam, and I am amazed that this corporation is able to do this, calling people and basically deceiving them, promising savings when in fact they are charging so much more!
