This company calls my cell phone every single day. I use the phone mainly for data so just delete the call records and messages. They ask for someone I have never heard of. I have called the number back, explained the situation and asked not to be called any more and that I do not know the person they are looking for. The man who answers was polite and assured me my number will be removed, but the calls continue - every single day.

contact a lawyer

Call an attorney.  These calls are harassment and can be stopped.  Stop deleting the calls and keep a record.  This is a violation of a federal law. You can find an attorney in your area by googling FDCPA law and your town. Call and stop the harassment!

Get an emergency air horn, 10 buck in most stores like Wal/Tar  and give them the blast and hang up.
