GE Capital Beware of scam when applying for a loan online. If GE Capital calls and says you have the loan, it's a scam. Internet

Recently I applied for a personal loan online.  A person called and identified himself as Jack from GE Capital.  He stated that I was approved for a $10,000 loan at 10 percent interest.  He is extremely convincing and said, in order to receive the money, I was to go to any store and purchase a Vanilla refill for a prepaid credit card in the amount of $260.00 and give him the pin number.  Do not do this.  The scam is just starting. 

Next, he calls to tell you that you must now pay for loan insurance in the amount of $380.00.  It is now that I was sure that this is a scam.  The phone number Jack gives you to call him back when you have the cash is 813-398-8075.  Now, I do now know if GE Capital is involved or not.  It is very possible that Jack is using their company name.  Again, beware.  Hang up immediately.  To my knowledge GE Capital does not give personal loans.
