GE Capital Told me I could receive a loan for $5,000 Connecticut

I was emailed by a man named Mike Johnson who told me I could receive a loan from the range of $1,500-$5,000. I proceeded because I have poor credit and was told they would work with that.
We spoke over the phone about the process. I had to give him my bank information and it seemed legitimate because money was deposited into my account.
What bugged me is that I had to pay back verification money using google play gift cards. But I thought that it might be part of the process and as I stated before money was going into the account.
Now, the two checks the deposited were returned and my account is overdrawn roughly $1,000

It’s laughable that you actually thought a major financial company accepts Google Play Gift Cards but they do accept plastic poker chips and Monopoly money.
