I signed a contract with Home Depot to replace 4 windows in my apartment. The installation manager, Dan Drexler, came to my apartment to see if the installation was possible (one of the windows is in a closet and I knew it may have posed a problem). Dan Drexler said it could be done, so I signed a contract and paid with salesman Douglas Nolan (a nice guy, but the ONLY nice person in this whole transaction/disaster). (By the way, the WHOLE time Dan Drexler was in my apartment to assess the situation and talk to me he was listening to music in BOTH ears with earbuds in, and refused to take them out....SO RUDE!).

On installation day, Home Depot did not show up....instead a guy named Vince Morelli came. He is a local Hoboken contractor, I guess. I was expecting Home Depot! If I had WANTED a local guy I would have hired one!

Vince Morelli said the installation was impossible in the closet window (and according to my condo board, all the window have to match, so if one can't go in they ALL can't go in, if you get what I mean). Morelli said he was not a carpenter, could NOT pull out the closet and get it back to what it needed to be, he had NO lumber to do so, and that he never would have taken the job if he'd known about the closet.

Dan Drexler came back to my apartment (Morelli and I had to wait for him for over an hour) and ONCE AGAIN would not take his earbuds out and listen to me and have a conversation....SO annoying! He started to show off and lie for Vince Morelli, and say that I had agreed to take care of putting the closet back together, painting it, etc. I did NOT agree to any such thing, and would never have....as a Charter School teacher the windows ALONE were going to take a year or so to pay off... there was no WAY I was also going to do closets at the same time. When he would NOT stop lying or take his earbuds out to hear what I was saying I told him to leave my apartment.

I have been on the phone ALL day today trying to rectify this situation and get my deposit back. I filed with the BBB, my credit card company, and am filling out the paperwork for the State Attorney General's Office now. Do NOT use this company for ANY home repairs.....they are AWFUL, they lie to get women to sign contracts, and the unprofessional nature of the employees is totally unbelieveable.
