I was totally shocked to find out my LA Weight Loss Center closed without any prior notification to their customers.

I had had nothing but great things to say about my weight loss center and the counselors that supporteed me there.

I felt the money spent was well worth the progress I had made. I believe in the products and the program because they have worked for me.

Now, I'm devestated... I was doing so well. I hope I can get the LA weight loss bars somewhere.

I now question the people in charge and their honesty.

#1 UPDATE EX-employee responds

Apology for our clients

AUTHOR: Shellas - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, April 21, 2009

I understand that this statement is long overdue, and the only reason why I am deciding to do this is because I feel that all of our clients in the Las Vegas, NV area deserves something close to an explanation and an apology.

I was one of the staff members that worked for LA Weight Loss in the SW area of Vegas, and I wanted our clients to know that the closing of the company was as much as a surprise to us as it was to our clients. In fact, we were called the morning before our shift began by our managers and basically told to not go in as the company had folded and we were all out of a job. So yes, in a way, we were just as devastated as the people who were counting on us for help on their weight loss journey.

I write now only to say that we, the staff and managers of the centers, were just as upset and sad over this whole situation...and that it was literally out of our hands. It hurts to read these reports and know that even though we the employees had no say in the matter, it appears that we are still somehow burdened with their very justifiable anger.

But I wanted to say that I really respected and enjoyed all my clients. They were wonderful people and it inspiring in every sense of the word. It was such an honor to watch them lose the weight, get healthy and for some, have their lives returned to them. Even today, nearly two years after this incident, I can still see faces and remember names of the people who by changing their lives also touched and changed ours.

I know it won't change anything and I know that even though the employees had no control over the situation, I still want to apologize to my clients for not being there when you needed us the most. Yes, it was a business, and yes, we had to make a profit, but in the end, I can't say how much I appreciated my clients for their courage and their dedication to making their lives better. I really miss them and just having that five to ten minutes of their time to chat and discuss and praise them for their hard work.

LA Weight Loss was not a perfect company by any means, and I know that many people were shafted by their abrupt end. But the pain is shared (I assure you) by the employees who spent so many of their days trying to make a difference in people's lives. And if nothing else, I am grateful that I was employed by this company simply for the fact that it offered a wonderful opportunity to get to know my clients...and also because I enjoyed knowing I was helping others help themselves.

In conclusion, I again wish to state how very sorry I am to have had to leave my clients behind. I wish you nothing but the best in your journeys and to simply ask that you remember your counselors, the ones that REALLY cared about your progress, and not blame them for what occurred. That in the end, we were also victims.

Oh and one more thing:

Eat like a king for breakfast
A Prince for lunch
And a Pauper for dinner

PS. To Kim...I just wanted you to know that all of us at Crossroads were so proud of you. And still are. You were one of our most impressive results and I hope you are still doing your best to keep up your marvelous weight loss. Because in the end, YOU did the work, and changed your life. We were just simply watching you shine. (hug)

Bless you all.
