Mike Dudzinski- Florida Penthouse Rental, Ocean Manor Penthouse Rental Unit The views are beautiful, but the ROACHES are plenty!!! Ft. Lauderdale Florida

We got to the unit and found it HUGE! Views were really nice on the balcony. We shopped for food to prepare the next few days. We came back to the room, opened the cupboard, and thought I saw something move. I moved a plate.

The cupboard was literally crawling with roaches about half inch long. I took photos. We found roach spray and killed em. Since it was one cabinet, we thought it was a freak occurrence and thought nothing of it.

The next morning, we found more. I took more photos. We called the owner. In between it all, we tried boiling water. The range didn't work. We called the owner.

The owner said to go to the beach and he'd send someone to fix it and take care of the roaches. The owner did have the range fixed and put a bug bomb in the unit, but we couldn't get back in for three hours. Yes, we had food and drinks in the unit, but couldn't get into it and had to pay for food and drinks on our own. THEN...WE HAD TO CLEAN UP THE BOMB, THE DEAD BUGS, and wash all the glasses and plates, again!!!

No bugs for almost a day.

Then, they started coming again. A couple hours before we were to entertain family/relatives for our son's college graduation weekend, we were spraying and cleaning again. Every cupboard had 'em. We tried to keep people in areas that were relatively open and without nooks and crannies.

Once everyone went home, and it was just our six immediate family bedding down for the night at around 10:30, it started again. Roaches. Spray, kill, clean. Tried sleeping.

At 1:30, we woke to a prom after-party next door complete with loud music, fights in the hallway outside our door, security constantly quieting them down and mounds of trash left right in the hallway.

This happened BOTH NIGHTS!!! The last night, my mother-in-law and 13 year old daughter woke to roaches crawling on their headboards and Kleenex box, respectively.

Finally, we were done with our rental. We waited for the owner to arrive to talk to him. He was late by over an hour. I asked if he would make amends for our trouble. I asked for a $500 refund to cover the food and drinks the first day. He agreed and we shook on it.

Waited for the money. Tried being nice.

Owner then sends me an email letter saying he will pay me $300 if I agree to a total gag concerning ANY negative reviews of this property or our stay. Yeah, I don't think so. What's true is true.

We caution ANYONE against this property or owner. We should've called the health dept.
