I have been living in an apartment complex in Rockville, MD for about 14 months that uses Minol USA for its natural gas services.  The entire time I have lived there I have received bills from Minol USA which contain an "estimated" gas usage.  While the amounts seemed reasonable for the months in which we used the heat a lot, the bill totals for months that we used the heat for 10 minutes on one day were outrageous.

I have been calling the company since February 2012 and have received little accurate information.  First, the company stated that a ticket was created, and teh property management would be conacted to have someone come out and service my meter.  The call center agents assured someone would conatct me with more information once they talked to the service department.  Five months later, no calls.  After I made numerous calls, no one came out.  I then asked for a daily record of my apartment's natural gas usage, and no one could figure out how to get that information.  They can not provide me this information because they have no idea!! They are just making up charges for my apartment!  THis is an outrage.  Then, in October 2012, I called again and was told the problem with my meter had been resolved.  Minol USA assured me that my next reading would be an "actual" reading, and that my bill would correct itself if there was any over-billing based on past estimated usage.

Well, when my bill arrived in the past couple days, much to my surprise, the bill was another estimated reading.  I live in Maryland, and we usually don't turn the heat on here until late October or November.  Minol USA's bill, from August 30, 2012 through October 1, 2012 was $30.  We did not even turn the heat on during this time.  This is ridiculous.  I am tired of dealing with this company.  My apartment complex has stated that they are considering dropping the company, but I refuse to pay for gas that I have not used.  Taking a reading from a meter is a simple task, utility companies have been doing it for decades, yet based on other reviews it appears this company has trouble with that.  This needs to be fixed and this company needs to stop ripping off people that live in my comples and I am sure numerous others.
