Patrick Gilmartin ripped me off for $10K >10 years ago with his "Internet consulting" business, so I Google him once in a while to see what the old scumbag is up to...

Patrick Gilmartin is up to his same old tricks!

He gets $$ upfront for some IT or software or business consulting/services deal, real nice guy, super helpful.  Then Patrick Gilmartin ducks and ducks and ducks and ducks and never delivers anything.  Then disappears.  It would almost be easier just to do the work, all the effort he has to put into ducking.

Of course, after some investigation, it turned out Patrick Gilmartin had numerous (like 15-20) settlements for much more $$$ than he got me for, going back years.  I didn't bother to file a civil or small claims, since collecting was obviously never going to happen.  Instead, I found another person he swindled same time as me and we tried to file criminal charges --- the LAPD Detectives were very helpful, but the DA wouldn't take our case apparently due to some jurisdictional issue of exactly where the crime took place (ie, LA or Burlingam). 

I was really upset to get ripped off of course, but it was even more devastating to me that I had no recourse to stop Patrick Gilmartin from swindling his next victims.  Because that is all Patrick Gilmartin knows how to do: ruthlessly look for innocent victims to swindle out of as much money he can take them for.

I also contacted Patrick Gilmartin's family after I found out his rip-off history, since he had been running his scam on me out of his brother's physical office.  His lawyer brother made it clear they were aware of and disgusted by Patrick's history of swindles.  In that case, I felt they were enabling him by giving him access to  physical infrastructure by which he was scamming me and which gave him some implied legitimacy.  Patrick's brother freaked out and threatened to counter-sue me if I went after them... I just was hoping they would pull the plug to finally stop enabling him.

Patrick Gilmartin is a sociopathic leech...

...who preys on young entrepreneurs and people who are trying to do positive things with their lives.  He was working with some guy named Chick V or something (I forget), from Woodland Hills back when he scammed me.  They have to be in their 60-70's now, I'd guess.  Patrick Gilmartin may be in Las Vegas, or back in Silicon Valley or who knows...  No matter where he is or what he says - do not give Patrick Gilmartin 1 dime unless you never want to see it again.
