Do you think telling someone that you're not interested, and to take your number off their call list should be enough for them to do it? How about at least a dozen times? They still call, and have the nerve to still question me as to why I'm not interested!! It's just not right.

When I became aware of this "report" last night, I was outraged. I am not an employee of Patriot, but I am a business associate of Mr. Cunningham, and have known him for over ten years. The statements made by "R.L." (or is it "R.I." ? He can't seem to make up his mind) are so out of line that I feel compelled to speak up in defense of the accused. I am aware of the facts behind the situation.

In this day and age, when so many investors utilize the Internet in conducting their due diligence, misleading attacks by the likes of RI/RL (and his "buddy", who goes by "Greg Luke") have the potential to be damaging unless they are addressed
promptly. Websites such as this do serve a useful purpose, but it is imperative that the full story be told so that the reader can formulate his own conclusion.

First of all, one might get the impression that RI/RL is a wronged oil and gas investor. Nothing could be further from the truth! He is a lead salesman - a guy who procures lists of potential prospects and attempts to market them to various oil and gas firms. RI/RL is NOT a sophisticated and/or accredited investor by any stretch of the imagination. As a matter of fact, a guy who shows up to peddle his wares in a tee-shirt and flip-flops, as RI/RL did, more than likely invests in nothing more than "party supplies". For RI/RL to imply otherwise is false and misleading.

RI/RL did attempt to make a sale to Patriot recently, but didn't. Unfortunately for him, the disc that he proferred was not properly formatted to be downloaded into Patriot's computer system. Thus, he was sent on his way, with the suggestion from Sherry that he re-format his data so that it would be usable by Patriot.

Although RI/RL said he would immediately take care of rhe formatting issue, he did not. He finally showed up, days later, demanding payment on the spot, before the disc was even downloaded. I have no doubt that RI/RL's poor treatment of Sherry played a large part in his leaving, once again empty-handed. Had RI/RL handled himself in a more professional manner, the outcome might have been different. He has only himself to blame, but has chosen instead to take the childish approach of slanderous and misleading "Internet retaliation". That, in my experience, is not a tactic employed by leaders of the community, Mr. "Greg Luke".

Patriot did not lie to or steal from RI/RL. They chose not to do business with him.

As an investor myself, I take offense to this attack on the Patriot Group by RI/RL (and his "buddy", "Greg Luke") via this website, for a number of reasons. The mean-spirited and vicious characterization of Sherry is bad enough; she is a sweet and kind-hearted LADY - the exact opposite of the harpy that RI/RL descibes. The description of Patriot's principals as "scammers" is also reprehensible. These gentlemen are both former Marines, who operate their business with a higher degree of integrity than I have seen demonstrated by any other energy firm in the Dallas area. These people do not deserve to have their reputations besmirched by an embittered individual who can't handle failure of his own making. Hopefully, my rebuttal will help to correct this injustice.

The Patriot Group is involved with oil and gas investments - and oil and gas investors understand risk better than most. The one risk these investors don't want to take on is the one implied by RI/RL and "Greg Luke" - a false implication.

Patriot doesn't "take" anyone's money - they offer oil and gas investments, period. Is their success rate 100% ? Of course not. Have investors lost money? Certainly -and they have also made money. Is EVERY one of their investors totally happy ? That is a statistical improbability. Has anyone investing with the Patriot Group been "scammed" ? Categorically, NO.

RI/RL will be fortunate if Patriot does not sue him for libel and slander.
