I purchased a 33' Centurion Medallion Plus Pool Package on 05/10/2003 from Recreational Warhouse and was lied to from the beginning to get my noney. They lied about the cost of upkeep expenses by about $150.00 a month. From day one I have had problems. I payed $4920.93 for this pool and an extra $800.00 for installation. The pool was installed wrong. My uprights are bowing and the framing of the pool was coming through the liner. They came out a just put a patch over the hole while the framing is still underneath the pool and going to come through agian. They have also had to replace my pump three times and a whole new filter system as well. They wanted to take my pool down and reinstall it since it was installed wrong. They wanted me to dump 27,500 gallons of water onto my property.I told them no and they finally agreed to set up a whole new pool and pump the water into it(which has not happened yet). Now my sand filter has a crack in it and I cannot run the pool once agian. I called the corporate office two weeks ago to fix the problem and they have not contacted me since then. My pool has not been running for over two weeks now and it is gross! The water is awful and now I have a misquito problem. They told me they were out of stock on 26" sand filters. I find that hard to believe. How are they still able to sell pools then? And I can't understand why it would take over two weeks to get one if they were. They abviously don't state the refund policy on there receipts because they know they would not sell any pools to people knowing they could not get a refund of there money if there pool was junk. Now I have a health hazard sitting in my yard and I am out $5,720.93 which I think is really bad business on Recreationals part. Shame on you!!

For a company who doesn't give refunds on large purchases why do they want to spend the money setting me up a brand new pool

AUTHOR: Lori - (U.S.A.)

The same day I wrote this report I called the corporate office once again at 10:30 a.m. and left a message to be called back.L ow and behold I still have not received a call yet. For a company who doesn't give refunds on large purchases why do they want to spend the money setting me up a brand new pool and having the contractors spend the time setting up a new pool, draining the old on into it and taking the old one down and hauling it off? Seems to me that it would be just about the same amount to just come and get the nightmare and give me my money back! I wish I had financed my pool and not paid cash, atleast I could have stopped paying for it and maybe they would have repoed the piece of crap! They saw me coming from a mile away. And to make the customer haul the pool home after they buy it is downright poor business.A lot of those boxes require atleast two people to unload. Sorry to ramble but this company is a disgrace.
