I enrolled at Remington College, North Houston Campus to start classes on October 22, 2012.  It took one week into the third month at the "school" for me to realize this was a scam!  They enroll you in classes that are "part of the program" such as Anatomy and Physiology and Career Development - that don't even pertain to the certification exam!  First of all, the exam is 90 questions and they are charging you $16,000.00 for this ridiculous program.  They fill up 8 months of classes with nonsense that you don't need to become a CPhT just so they can get your funding!  They do all of your loan paperwork themselves and it's so easy to sign up!  It should have been a red flag, but I was ready to make a change in my life, and that is exactly what they played on!

During my time there, I completed and turned in many packets and worksheets that I never received a grade for and never got back.  In fact, there were students that never did them and still passed the class!  During a career development class, the teacher stated that there was no syllabus and a few times, we just sat around talking on our dime!  The "instructors" don't instruct anyone or anything!  They give notes and work and do very little or no teaching!

They sell you on the fact that you become CPR Certified and IV Certified (a total of about $800 worth of instruction) when you don't need CPR to be a CPhT!

Upon withdrawing from the program, I called Alicia Babin to tell her about my grievances and to explain that they would get no more of my money.  After that phone call, I have repeatedly tried to make an appointment with her to sign to needed paperwork to no avail.  She won't return my calls and she says that she's concerned about her students?!  She's moving on to other's that are still paying their money.

This school should lose their accreditation!  It should be investigated for fraud!  There is no consistency in their curriculum and they shouldn't even be able to take goverment funding just by filling in enough hours to qualify for a real educational program.  Do yourself a favor and study on your own to take the $130/90 question certification exam! Do not go to Remington "College"!!! Save your $16,000!!!!
