I'd like to start this by saying that I was not a low life renter that didn't pay his rent, trashed the place, or called every few days to fix things. We never even had a late payment!

We rented a house from RPM Idaho for about a year and they were the WORST company I have ever dealt with. Their entire staff was incredibly rude and demeaning when we dropped our rent off or called and the few times that we did call for repairs they never even showed up.

At the end of our lease we decided to buy a house and gave notice to RPM Idaho accordingly, our closing was delayed (thanks to this subprime mess) and we needed to stay a few extra days in the house. I called them and told them the situation and they said it would be OK. 4 days later I was served a 3 day notice of eviction as well as a lawsuit for the supposed $700 that they said it cost them to file a simple 3 day notice.

I have read other reviews on the internet from people that had similar experiences with them and I just want to warn people about them. I would never rent from them again or recommend that anyone use them to manage their properties.

RPM of Idaho honest on Ethical Company

AUTHOR: Rpm Of Idaho - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, November 24, 2008

Please, let me start by saying Residential Property Management of Idaho is an honest and ethical company that has been in business in the Boise Valley for 35 years. We have not maintained this longevity because we have a habit of ripping-off people.

That said, this particular tenant was not charged $700. At the termination of their 30-day notice to vacate, we had subsequently rented the property, when their time came to be out of the property, we arrived for our inspection to find they had not even started to pack. This started a chain of events that put-out two other families. They didn't pay the rent for the period of time they delayed. This is why they were served with a 3-day notice to "pay or quit." Also, they were unwilling to give a date when they would vacate.

Their failure to vacate the property, according to their contract, left two other families without a place to stay and their belongings in a moving van. RPM subsequently paid for accommodation for these other individuals to live until this was resolved. This is the reason the tenant was served with court papers to vacate the property. When this tenants situation changed, they should have made other arrangements rather than putting the burden on two other families and ignoring the obligations of their contract.
