I worked for this company from May 2012 to May 2013 as a auditor. I would like to share some of my experiences with this company.

My first week I was asked to go out of town, I was working with two other employees scheduled to pick me up. When I saw the two employees I became concerned. Their appearance was disheveled and unprofessional. With my criminal justice degree and common sense, I was able to deduce that these men were intoxicated. Considering their fidgeting and frequent stops to visit gas station restrooms together. I was later told by several co-workers that these two gentlemen were known cocaine users. I thought it was strange that I was sent out of town with these two individuals. This trip consisted of 4 days, 55 in store hours and 30 hours of drive time. To say the least, I was exhausted. 85 plus hour workweeks were common and expected.

One of the major issues I had with this company was with my immediate supervisors. One was a convicted drug felon. I had a tooth extracted at 4.00pm. I was told at 5 that instead of going to work in the morning, like normal, I would have to leave immediately and stay overnight in a motel with her. The explanation I was given was that it was "much more convenient for her." I had to speak to the manager. After this ordeal we did end up leaving in the morning. Another Supervisor was known throughout this company and her previous company as a loose woman that fraternized with many male employees. At the completion of a particularly long week I was told to bring her from Evanston WY to Laramie WY, approximately two hours out of the way. This was to drop her with a male employee to spend the night. When we got there he canceled. She is also married. They told many lies and exaggerations to the manager, other supervisors and employees. One of them eves dropped on a phone call between my husband and I. She told the details to others in the company. They were obviously trying to put me in a bad light to the rest of the company. I could not tell you why.

The actual work was very enjoyable. One thing that I did not learn until I left was a fundamental flaw in the service they provide to their clients. Both employees and managers encouraged me to focus on being fast rather than accurate with my audits. If someone actually took the time to properly count the inventory of the store (what we are hired to do) they were stigmatized as a slow unproductive person that "You don't want to work with." After leaving this company I joined another, much larger and more successful auditing company. Taking that type of approach is unheard of in the auditing world outside of RMI. Any company looking for auditing services should be aware of this.

Of all the many issues I had with this company, the Manager/Owner was by far the largest. This man has proven to be an incompetent and incapable business man. He is misrepresenting his company and the services they provide. From an HR standpoint, he is a nightmare. The former owner and current part time supervisor/auditor (his mother), fought vigorously to eliminate travel pay company wide. After trying many tweaks and loop holes their hands were tired by the law. He has disputed unemployment claims and lost for not filing paperwork on time. I had a medical emergency in which I had to leave a store. On my way to the hospital I received a call a call from the owner saying my supervisor told him that I just up and left for no reason. After explaining to him I had a medical emergency and was on my way to the hospital, he began a juvenile attempt at physiological manipulation. I was in great pain. This did not stop him from trying to make me feel like I was abandoning the company and my health was of no concern. He said things like "You are screwing me" and "I don't believe you." I inquired about some discrepancies from my time sheet to my paycheck and was dismissed weeks later without explanation. I believe that I was hoodwinked. The more times I interacted with him, the more I realized he was a rude and unprofessional person.

In conclusion, My experience with this company was atrocious and common. Filled with drug addicts, felons, managers with no management training and lazy supervisors, this is by far the least professional workplace I've experienced. I would equate the immature catty nature of these no-class individuals to a high school on crack. From the profuse use of the phrase "If you don't like it then quit," I assumed this was their new company motto. I held true to that motto and quit.
