I bought a Sirius radio in 2005 from Sirius. After three years I discontinued service and they deactivated the radio. I just realized they were still billing me.  I called them and they said it was for a home unit I have never owned.

They offered to credit the current charge which is for future service but would not do anything about the past charges unless I supply  4 year old credit card statements. They admitted they have the billing and payment information, but still will not refund unless I supply the same paprework.

As I understand your complaint, you bought a radio in 2005, cancelled the service in 2008 and have been billed since then for a home radio you never asked for. Now, several years later, you finally "discover" you've been being billed all these years and you want them to make you whole. Why did it take you so long to "discover" this? I would just about guarantee you haven't been looking at your credit card statements otherwise you would have caught this error the first month. Further, how do you know other charges to your account haven't been processed such as other merchant errors or outright theft? There is a lesson here. What they want is reasonable...proof they have been billing you all this time and more importantly proof your credit card company has been processing those charges. Quite frankly, their willingness to give you a refund is an excellent move but you must do your part to get that money returned. There is no ripoff here. There are however, mistakes on the part of both entities, them for continued billing and you for failure to verify your own credit card charges.
