My Boyfriend and I own a small buisness. I got a call from Skyline Publishing wanting to run a ad for our buisness this was in July. I agreed to do the ad only by phone. And just recently found out that it was a scam i mean come on how long does it take to publish a add they called me in July and it's already October and there still wanting money. i know that it does not take that long to run off prints of a magizine that is supposed to be given to vistiors and relocating people to areas.

So i am not paying thier 200.00 dollar invoice i believe it is bogus and the two ladys i talked to we're very rude telling me i couldn't cancel my order that i have to pay. She was supposed to call me back today at noon but thanks to the internet i found out that they are scammers, Also she never called me back.

I think it's really sad that people do things like this. i mean if you are to pay money for a ad i think it should be published like they say it will be. But that's what they are a Rip-Off so if you get a call from them tell them you are not intrested! Because they will keep calling I've got 3 calls so far.

After reading this complaint I find it interesting that the writer claims that she knows it to be a scam and thanks to the internet as the reason she knows this. I demand that she provide 100% without a doubt proof that Skyline Publishing is a scam! She won't be able to because Skyline Publishing is not a scam! She also knows that it does not take long to print off a magazine. How does she know this? Is she a relocaiton guide publisher? Does she work for Skyline Publishing? Probably not so how she knows this is your guess. Unless this customer knows the entire process start to finish she can not possible know how long it takes. Is it wrong for us to take our time and create the best publication possible? Is it wrong to make sure we allow customers time to send in their ad informations and make necessary changes in proofing?

If this customer wanted a qucik throw together product she should have ordered with another company. Skyline Publishing is a professional company who has been doing this for many years and has a very successful system in place for how the business operates. We yearly produce thousands of relocation guides, and maps across the entire country so no it is not a quick throw together operation. Maybe instead of slandering Skyline Publishing this customer should have called and asked the process and why it takes time to complete a publication. In our process we have to sell all the advertising spots in the book/map, then we create the ads and then create the book/map. Our proofreaders go over the book and any corrections they find are made before sending each advertiser a proof copy.

At that point anyone who is still unpaid is called and we discuss changes and payments. We make all the changes necessary and send final proofs. After that is complete we mail each distribution point and advertiser who requested publications their supplies. We replenish those supplies for 12 months. This doesn't sound like a scam operation to me. The great thing about business is that you can not just charge someone for something they did not order or you did not produce. That is why we have proof of every purchase, every ad, every distribution point, etc. We are not a fly by night company who just calls people asking for money. We are a legitimate company who sells, designs, prints, and produces publications. If this customer or any has questions please call us. We have nothing to hide so you are doing yourself a disservice if you don't call and ask questions or voice concerns and instead read complaints on this website. There is no validity to the complaints placed here and no one to check into whether they are true or not. The only way you will know is if you ask us directly.
