I purchased storesonline last year in october (2003), and was promised the a conversion rate of .2 percent (2 sales in a hundred hits), a promise to build any site, and technical support. So far i've managed one sale, receive limited technical support, i'm getting poor customer service (got hung up on by universal data by a lady named jennifer @ 888.233.2302), and they couldn't program a mortgage website for one of my business partners. When you send a site in for programming they generally take longer than the promised 5-6 weeks, the last two sites took appoxiately 9 and 8 weeks.
I'm extremely dissatisfied with storesonline, and universal data. Universal data, with the exception of a gentlemen named Darren, have been unwilling to work with the payments until business picks up. It's been over a year now, and i've receive no ROI, or ROR. Any one who reads this, buyer beware.

I worked for Universal Data for almost a year. You're right about getting hung up on! I know who Jennifer is & she thrives on being rude & nasty & believe it or not--the Boss, Phil, rewards her for it! But he is just as nasty as she is. Stores Online is a huge scam..they take your money & give you nothing in return. You can look into this on the better business bureau website. They have been sued by the states of Maine & Texas & one thing is clear...you will never receive any services. The only thing you will get are calls from Universal wanting your money. Good luck to you on this one--I feel for you.
