We moved from San Antonio Tx to Nacogdoches Tx.  San Antonio had/has Time Warner Cable.  Really no complaints with them.  Prices are high for cable everywhere.  But when we moved to Nacogdoches and ordered the same package as what we had in San Antonio, I was shocked, angry, you get the picture.  So I called the number in the phone book, spoke with a rep. in Tyler Tx and he was even suprized.  My wife and I paid a lot of money and got used to high def channels.  At the time I called I believe we have maybe ten.  In San Antonio we had about 140.  To keep this short,  what I cannot get over is the bill is the same as it was in San Antonio with half the channels and a way slower internet speed.  Phone, oh thats the same.  When I did call, they stated that Nacogdoches is due for some updates.  And some new HD channels have popped up.  I am afraid to call and complain, my wife has and so have I.  Same script is read to both of us.  Just be patient the updates are coming.  Meanwhile we continue to take your money for services not rendered.  And Suddenlink being the only choice here in Nacogdoches, they can do and charge whatever they want.  Only choice is satellite.  So what to do?  Switch?  Or continue to pay?  Thinking,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Drop Suddenlink, Get DSL and Dish or Directv

AUTHOR: mulerider11 - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, December 14, 2010

I would get rid of Suddenlink.  If you can get satelite go for it.  With Dish or Directv you'll get a contract, so you won't have to worry about a jump in your bill from month to month.  For internet I would go with DSL.  It may not be quite as fast as cable, but if you're not doing a ton of heavy downloading you'll never notice the difference.  DSL will provide a much more consistent speed than Suddenlink's shoddy cable.

I had Suddenlink for about 2 years, recently switched to DSL internet and couldn't be happier.  (AT&T)  I'm no longer getting televsion service, I use netflix and watch shows online.  But, either Satelite company will make you a great offer as a new customer.
