Do not do business with these people! They make FALSE claims at the time of sale and do not follow through. Specifically, they say that they will take your phone calls for you and make appointments for you. LIES! Then they say that they will put you on several different popular car advertising websites such as Cars.com, AutoTrader.com, Kelly Blue Book, etc. LIES! They do not take phone calls for you or schedule meeting for you! They do NOT put you on popular car advertising websites! Instead, they put me on no-name FREE advertisement websites such as Claz.org, iNetGiant.com, and other FREE advertising websites that no one has even heard about. On top of that, while checking these sites myself to look for my ad, one of the sites actually took me to PORNOGRAPHY! Can you believe that!!!!

They also post horrendously skewed pictures of your car. So, even if someone does magically come across your ad, the pictures are so warped the potential customer will simply move on to the next site. I have had their service for almost 3 weeks now and have received ZERO phone calls from interested buyers although they claimed that I would sell my car within 4 weeks and receive at least five calls my first weekend. FALSE!

Furthermore, to convince you, they lie and state that they don't make money from your $200 payment. Instead, they claim that they make money from how quickly they sell the cars on the websites (Cars.com, etc.) which then pay United Car Exchange a kick-back for driving traffic to their site. LIES! The truth is they only make money on your payment and they lie about the kick-backs to convince you that they sell cars fast.

They also lie about the refund. They say that you can get your money back after 90 days. LIES! What they do not tell you is that they only give you half of your money back AND that you have to have the title still in hand. So, even if you sell the car without their help and receive zero phone calls from their scam, you still won't get all of your money back and will get none of it if you happen to sell your car by other means like most people will do within 90 days anyway.

They also lie about your car price. They convinced me that I could sell my car for $1,500 more than what I was offering by using their service since "only committed buyers" visit their site and are willing to pay higher prices. LIES! Once you buy the scam, their own customer service will tell you that the new price for your car is too high. SCAM!

Stay away from these people! Run!

Thank You From A Potential Victim...

This company called me this morning about "helping me sell" my van, and despite being told several times that I did not have the $99 fee (this seems to vary with each report I've read, and there are several), the caller was relentless. I finally researched the company on Google and BAM - STRAIGHT to this report. I have since posted on Craigslist (which seems to be where they prey) and advised potential victims in my area of this... Anyone who reads this should post the following on Craigslist in your area, hopefully we can shut these idiots down.

SELLERS BEWARE! SCAM ALERT! UNITED CAR EXCHANGE (Anywhere)

A WARNING TO ALL WHO SELL VEHICLES ON CRAIGSLIST! A COMPANY CALLED UNITED CAR EXCHANGE MAY CALL YOU, CLAIMING TO HELP SELL YOUR VEHICLE FAST FOR A $99 FEE! DO NOT DO IT. AFTER TELLING THEIR CALLER SEVERAL TIMES THAT I DID NOT HAVE THE MONEY TO PAY THE FEE, NOR WAS I COMFORTABLE WITH DEALING WITH A COMPANY I'D NEVER HEARD OF BEFORE, THEY PERSISTED UNTIL I RESEARCHED THE COMPANY, AT WHICH POINT I FOUND AN ENTRY FOR THEM ON RIPOFFREPORT.COM...

YET ANOTHER SCAMMER TRYING TO RIPOFF CRAIGSLIST USERS! BUYERS AND SELLERS ALIKE BEWARE! FOR WHAT IT'S WORTH, I DO NOT BUY INTO THE BUSINESS OWNER'S POOR ATTEMPT AT COVERING THIS UP. MORE ON THIS SCAM CAN BE FOUND HERE...

ISSUE RESOLVED. MONEY REFUNDED.

AUTHOR: Michael - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, October 16, 2012

Allow me to start by stating that Kathy Dalerta from Customer Service is my main and only reason for updating this report as resolved as she was very thorough about doing what was right and placing customers first. She is extremely professional, caring, patient, knowledgeable, and concerned with customer satisfaction. It is ONLY because of her efforts that I am willing to update this report in a positive light.

Due to Kathy's efforts, the owner was made aware of the practices used by the sales people of this company. The owner researched into this and determined that this was an individual sales rep who was making the false claims and not the entire sales department. The owner pretty much yelled at the entire sales force (from what I was told) and the individual was reprimanded. The owner, through Kathy, reassured me that this would not happen again and is not a part of their normal sales practice.

I was refunded all of my money within a few short days.
