I bought a navel ring for my vacation 3 days before it. I placed my cute new navel ring in on the night before takeoff. I understood that "body jewelry" is not RETURNABLE because of sanitary reasons; however, when the cheaply made jewelry breaks at the weld spot two days later- the defective jewelry cannot even be credited as a "defect" and no store credit will be given either- All I can say is thank God I didn't go with the $90.00+ ring, because I would have been even more ripped off. The sanitary "return/exchange policy" I fully agree with.. but come on - in two days the weld breaks and they won't even take responsibility 4 their "junk" they sell???? That is just down right bad business!!!!

Basically, they should just state: "once you buy this, you're stuck with it- even if it breaks on the way out of the bag" No one should patronize this place!!!! EVER AGAIN- I know me, my family and my friends won't- we are well aware of their HORRIBLE Customer service. You should be aware as well and stay away!!!!!!

Which Piercing Pagoda did you try to exchange the body jewelry at? For the gold body jewelry, (aka the 90+ you spoke of) they sell warranties so that you do not suffer a loss. Some navel rings that are dangles are not meant to be slept in or worn with pants that rub against them - unless you want it to be bulky and ugly where it is soldered, the thin pieces that make such pieces of jewelry cute are delicate. If you were asking for the same piece of jewelry, although it is against the store's policy, many associates will be understanding - and with a receipt (and warranty if it is gold...if not without the warranty because it is not offered on cheaper ones) will give you the same piece. If the same piece is not in, it can be exchanged when it is in stock.
