To Greensboro Customer

AUTHOR: Yvonne Foxworth - ()

POSTED: Friday, March 15, 2013

Dear Unsatisfied Greensboro Customer,

First, I am Yvonne Foxworth, and I am here to help you.  I have gone through our call logs for the past 3 weeks and don't have 1 incoming call from Greensboro.  If you have a telephone number from somewhere other than Greensboro then I am overlooking you.  None of that really makes a difference because we do answer our phones, and if messages are left we/I return the phone calls.  If you sent your money order in 2 weeks ago.

You have to give 3 days for the mail to get to the processing center.  Then the mail has to be gone through.  We have many customers.  After the mail is gone through it is forwarded to your particular area.  In total it can take about 7-10 days from the time that you mail your payment in (Not including weekends). American Careers tries to get you process as quickly as possible.  I am giving a worst case scenario as far as processing time.

American Careers is dedicated to helping you. I can assure you that if we received payment you will get the help that you want and deserve.  If you will please call our number (718)690-7056.  If the lines are busy leave a message for me (Yvonne Foxworth)   I will call you back.  I am here to help you.  I am here to help you to find a job.  I just need your information.

I see that there are a lot of negative comments on here.  If anyone in this feed needs help, don't hesitate to call me.  It is my job to make sure that our customers are satisfied.  I am here to help!

Sincerely,
Yvonne Foxworth

I don't feel the need to go to an unemployment office when I am already employed.  I want to work with the airlines.  That is the reason that I am using American Careers. I first and foremost am not trying to sell anything for their company.  I have stated why I am here.  I read the reviews and called.  I came here before making any decisions.  I don't feel as if I have wasted my $.  What other people decide to do is their business.  I don't feel like this company is a fraud...the reason for that is because I am getting the help that I need and want.  THE END.

When will this banter stop?? LOL  I love the fact that you guys continue to change personalities here. Sometimes you'll make someone who has bad grammar and then youll come back as the concerned individual who is the only one who happened to have contacted someone at American Careers when countless others have not!! Hmmmmm... I wonder how and why? Anyway, tell me SPECIFICALLY what has AC done for you in helping you get a job that your state or local unemployment office couldn't do for you for FREE???  Thats what many here dont understand that you guys continue to try and make people believe otherwise. I ask again, why pay $39 for something you can get for FREE all day EVERYDAY??

I should expect some rhetorical answer instead of facts from you or whomever else thats had great success with AC when MANY others havent had any success. I guess they were the ones who didnt follow the instructions to a T right??? LOL You can continue to give your opinion, but I will continue to give FACTUAL information on AIRLINE Jobs because I work in the industry!! Why would someone not believe me when I'm telling them to keep their money and provide the information where that can get exactly what they would be paying for with AC? They (AC) are simply taking advantage of people who want to work and are looking for jobs. Whats your advice to someone looking, send maybe their last $39 to a company to hopefully get information about a job?? Now ask yourself, what sense does that make??

AND, I find it rather strange that you are patrolling Ripoff Report as the successful prodigy of AC. Do  they tell you to come here and defend them or do they pay you? Or you just may be Kevin Blackford, Yvonne, or Mr. Hremee in Chicago...lol either way you guys are FRAUDS!! And its not name calling if thats what you are.

Ciao

I am a consumer! Not a liar....

AUTHOR: R.D.Rocks - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, March 07, 2013

First and foremost, I am am a consumer so any name calling is not needed.  I was here and did my research prior to contacting American Careers.  I have found them to be a very helpful source for information and knowledge.  I thought maybe you had an issue with the company because you had worked with them in the past and knew what they were or were not about.  I have first hand knowledge being a consumer/client.  I am sorry for your dissatisfaction of American Careers.  I will continue to post to let consumers know if I am satisfied with the help and information that I am getting.  As for you, I am sure that you feel that you are doing right as well.  To each their own and we will have to agree to disagree...because I need the help even though I have graduated from high school and am obtaining a college degree.

POSTED: Wednesday, March 06, 2013

Are you serious??? First and foremost...NO, I did not pay these fools to help me find a job...LMAO

My only vendetta is against you LIARS who are ripping people off. Just know that I am legit unlike you FRAUDS, and I would do anything to help someone who is looking for work and I'm able to help. The other part about just showing links is BS!! The jobs listed are manly able body jobs and a HS or GED Dipolma needed. All the other stuff you guys advertise doing is not needed for an airline job!!! Keep trying to make yourself look good by degrading the info that I put out, it only proves that you are a liar and one and the same person...lol

Did you pay them to help you?

AUTHOR: R.D.Rocks - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, March 06, 2013

I see a little bitterness for a company that is trying to help their customers.  Finding the airlines to apply to is only half of the battle.  I am sure that you know that if you are working for the airlines.  You can give me all of the links that you want to....but... you going to give me the guidance that I need to have success in finding a job?  Sounds to me as if you have a Vendetta against the company. Did they help someone that you know?  I am just curious.  I have found their information this far to be very helpful and informative. I will continue working with my career counselor and let everyone truly know how the process of finding a job has been.

I found help.

  • I am here of my own accord.  I came here before sending in money to American Careers and read the reviews.  Sure, we all think that someone from that company is writing the reviews.  But, seriously why waste the time.  They are advertising in a lot of different places.

  • Their phone # is all over the place on rip off report, so that I would call them.  You know what?  They didn't tell me that I was going to get a job.  They told me what their services were, what the fee was for, what I had to do for success, and what I had to do if I didn't find success and how I could get the refund and I made a decision based on the information that they gave me.

  • I can understand some views listed on here, and know that I can get a job on my own.  I just am not as familiar as some people are with the airlines. I wanted to have help with the hiring process.

  • I ultimately sent in my $.  That doesn't mean that everyone has to follow my footsteps, but I found a lot of information that I didn't previously have. I know how I have to interview and where to begin.

  • I guess that it is an easy process for some, but for those that don't know where to begin are kind of stuck.

  • There are a lot of airlines out there and I am excited about the opportunities that lie ahead for me!

  • I will come back as soon as I have finished the hiring process.

Of going back and forth with Kevin, Yvonne and all of the fictional charcters that they make up! If some one is really interested in getting an airline job here is the link to my company HR. We're always hiring and with the merger between American and US Airways going full in the 3rd quarter, many more people are needed.

I have written many rebuttals about this company, but when ppl come here to post its too late! The good reports are written by themselves and not actual people. Again, dont be fooled by the lies these people are telling you. Good luck!!

American Careers Is Here To Help

AUTHOR: Yvonne Foxworth - (United States of America)

POSTED: Monday, February 25, 2013

OK folks, please let me try to shed a little light on this thread.

First off, my name is Yvonne Foxworth. I'm a Career Counselor at American Careers (NYC offices).  For the doubters out there, I must say sorry for any confusion or misconceptions about us, but we certainly are NOT a scam. I've been here for 6 yrs. Indeed, I'm very happy with the results I have personally obtained from the many Applicants I've assisted to gain employment at various airports/airlines across the USA. Success stories with many different types of Positions, at varying pay rates, anywhere from $14 to $22 / hour.

Regarding our Service, we simply assist Applicants obtain employment through the information that we email/mail them to get them started with the Application Process. We then follow up with phone support via our Career Counselors to assist them in every aspect of the Application Process (Application, Resume, Cover Letters, Thank You Letters, Interviewing Techniques, etc) through our Airline Career Development Guide & our Airline Hiring Update, which includes current listings of Airline Positions & descriptions which the Applicant may then apply for at various Airlines. We will attempt to obtain as many interviews for the Applicant as we possibly can. The $39 one-time fee we charge is refundable in the event we are unable to obtain employment for the Applicant.  Details are included in the paperwork the Applicant receives.  This is a vast amount of information & assistance which could potentially require many hours to perform individually. This Service will soon be available to Applicants via a new website now under construction:

http://www.AmericanCareersJobs.com

We have many success stories here with regard to Applicants who have taken the time & effort to read / follow the instructions listed in our Program, and have indeed obtained employment at various Airports across the USA. Obtaining employment takes time and effort. If Applicants are not willing to follow instructions or contact us for help, we can't possibly assist in those efforts. I will gladly personally assist anyone out there in their efforts to obtain employment. Please feel free to view our BBB review in MD.

Sincerely,
Yvonne Foxworth

I found Success

AUTHOR: Momof2boys - (USA)

POSTED: Tuesday, August 28, 2012

I felt the need to set the records straight on this.  I read about this job in the newspaper.  I don't have $ or time to waste.  I called the number and followed the directions.  I was sent a packet by Mr. Mareem.  I had a few questions about the packet and I called the phone # that was provided.  I was given information on the airlines that were hiring in the New York area.  I didn't know, because I was moving to New York.  I can say that this information was a great deal of help and I am satisfied with what I got for the price.  I am currently employed and am very happy.

Call The Company, Don't Advertise Untruths

AUTHOR: Ihaveajob - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, August 07, 2012

I found out about American Careers via a job fair at my school.  I was in High School still living at home with Mom and Pops.  I didn't have a dime to my name, so I borrowed the $ from my mother.  My parents had their reservations about the job.  So, I gave them the # that was supplied to me via the job fair.  They listened and got the same information that everyone else gets.  It is that I am guaranteed my money back if I am unable to obtain employment.  They never promised me the stars or a job.  They sent me information package in the mail.  I read through it and I called the phone number that they supplied me with in the package.  I spoke with Mr. Blackford and he pointed me in the direction of where I should start looking and applying.  I don't know, but anything worth having takes a little bit of effort and work.  I was guided in the proper direction to find my job.  I know work at Chicago O'hare.  I didn't go directly to the airlines or airport, does that make me stupid?  No, it just makes me one of those people who search for information in all avenues, and get help from those who are more educated than I am.

Oh really?

AUTHOR: ADL LIMO SUCK! - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, July 31, 2012

First off, I'd like to say thank you to those that have reported this company to Ripoff Report! Had I not come here after seeing the ad, I would have been on the complaint end as well. Let me explain. Browsing through CL (craigslist) last week I came across the post of a "Guaranteed" job if you send $39.00! Oh really?? I called the number expecting to talk to someone to ask questions, a recording comes on (1st hint of scam!!) It goes through this long spill of benefits and what will happen, but first you have to send your hard earned money (2nd hint). Having recently gotten out of the Aviation Industry (Military Side - Former Navy ABH) I wanted to stay in the Industry.

So deciding not to use the AMERICAN CAREERS route to obtain a job, I simply went to the websites of the Airlines that were hiring and had positions open. In my case, Ramp Agent is the position I applied for with an Airline (US Airways). I was notified of an open house that I had to attend for consideration (which I did). At the Open House you had to take and PASS a test to be seen for an interview (which I did). I was hired for the position and was considered for an immediate promotion due to my experience. The Open House was held in a Hotel's (Hilton) conference room which was filled with applicants (over 80). After taking the test, less than half of the room full of people remained (less than 20).

When I mentioned the AMERICAN CAREERS ad, the recruiter and regional manager mentioned that this company can DO NOTHING for you in obtaining a job with an airline. You have to do everything yourself. I also applied with another company that had openings for 25 Ramp Agents at a large International Airport (IAD) which my application has been received and being processed. Please, whatever you do, dont send these jokers any money to get a job.....good luck!

I sent my money order into American Careers, and waited for about a week and a half for a response.  I was sent some information through the mail.  I read over it and called the number that they gave me.  I spoke with the career counselor (Kevin) and he was a lot of help.  I am in the process of interviewing for jobs right now.  I don't see getting help that I need as a scam.
