Do not be fooled by the positive reviews on Tours4Fun website.  My son, myself and about 50 other people had an unbelievable experience on a 3 day tour to Niagra Falls, Ontario and Thousand Island.  First, this is an Asian Tour.  I am 1/2 Asian so this has nothing to do with prejudice.  However, the tour guide has such broken English you can't understand her (Vivian L.).  Second, the majority of meals and hotels are made with Asian partners.  I like eating Asian food, but eat an Asian buffet for three days in a row.  The "vacation" was sooooo stressed.

We had to run from place to place.  We were threatened no less than five times a day about being left behind and finding our way home.  One time two French people were being yelled out about being five minutes late.  When one of the guys started to say something, Vivian (who we renamed psycho guide) yelled "why are you talking to me!".  All day long, we were told we better be back exactly at the time or we can find our own way back.  The internet advertises that their charter buses has bathrooms.  We were told by psycho guide that it can only be used in an emergency.  The door was locked.  Many people tried to get in and could not.

I saw the key on the second day and the bus driving opening and closing it.  When a mother with a child who had an "emergency" asked for the key, the driver and psycho guide lied and said there was no key--the bathroom was locked from the inside.  I told the mom and psycho guide I saw the key and after 20 minutes of arguing, psycho guide let the girl in to use the bathroom.  The hotel on the second day had bugs in it (it was also owned by an Asian), lumpy pillows and dirty floors.  We were told on the way back home that the bus driver only works a certain amount of hours and if we were even a minute late, we would all be just dropped off wherever.

Our e-tickets had a drop off and pickup point.  Psycho guide told us an hour before being dropped off to call for our rides.  Problem?  The bus dropped us off at another site.  I had to wait 30 minutes for the hotel to find me.  So if you want to get threatened for three days, get charged ridiculous fees to eat Asian food for three days, get taken to Niagra falls and not even see fireworks (as advertised) or the lights; sleep in a bug infested room and get left behind in another country (which is what she tried to do to a mom and two kids), sign up for a Tours4Fun tour.  You will need a vacation when you get back from all of the stress!

For as long as I've been working here we've been hiring people to post good reviews on our site and other sites to make it look like people actually enjoy our tours. Truth is that about 95% of the feedback we get is from customers complaining about a variety of things from the poor quality of the food that the customers get to the terrible accommodations to the lack of air conditioning on several of the buses to the speed at which you're rushed through all of the sights on your tour.

Internally we all joke about how we'd never go on one of our tours because of how bad the tourists are treated and we laugh when we get complaints because we all know what's going on but no one wants to do anything about it. Instead we're told to do something about the reviews but not the tours themselves -- it gets frustrating but we're all over it now.

Group tours are even worse -- I sell tours to groups of about 25+ people and I have to hear them complain all the time but management here doesn't care so I typically ignore them.

Tours4Fun 3 day Niagra Falls Tour

AUTHOR: True review for Tours4fun - (United States of America)

POSTED: Saturday, August 04, 2012

Do not be fooled by the positive reviews on Tours4Fun website.  My son, myself and about 50 other people had an unbelievable experience on a 3 day tour to Niagra Falls, Ontario and Thousand Island.  First, this is an Asian Tour.  I am 1/2 Asian so this has nothing to do with prejudice.  However, the tour guide has such broken English you can't understand her (Vivian Y.).  Second, the majority of meals and hotels are made with Asian partners.  I like eating Asian food, but not eating an Asian buffet for three days in a row.

Psycho Guide announced over the loud speaker to the other guests "you decide, do you want to leave them here or miss soe activities?"  All day long, we were told we better be back exactly at the time or we can find our own way back.

The hotel on the first night had bugs in it (it was also owned by an Asian), lumpy pillows, dirty floors and what looked like feces on the mirror.  The second night's hotel was very nice, but we had to get up at 4:30 a.m. and couldn't even enjoy a decent bed.

I called the company and reported what our group went through.  The gentleman "Carlos" was very kind.  He forwarded the comments to the company who said they would investigate and get back with me.  It's been over a week and are you surprised no one has contacted me?  Not even with an apology?  I also tried to post a review on the website--surprise, surprise.  They seem to post only positive reviews. Oh, forgot one thing.  The only time psycho guide was nice was at the end of the trip when she collects $18 per person for her tip (this is mandatory).  She said this was her "Happy Time".  Too bad, for all the money we paid (trip, all activities, food--over $800/person for 3 days), we couldn't have a "Happy Time".
