I, Troy Winston, bought an "unfinished" drum package from Adonis Custom Drums (Adonis Drum Company). This consisted of only four drums, a 10", 13", 16" toms and a 12" snare and the necessary hardware (lugs, hoops, tension rods, snare strainer, snare wire & butt end). The bearing edges, snare beds and holes drilled for the lugsand air vents was free because I had also ordered the hardware at the same time. This is on their website.

The order was started in May of 2004, and final payment was given in June of 2004. At the end of September, Patrick Lynch, owner of Adonis Drum Co. called to apoplogize for the extended time, for it was to only be about 8 weeks, and assured me he was to be shipping the drums out the next day, as they were in stock and being drilled. There as also a compromise in the snare drum due to the availablity, so I agreed to what he had in the shop. Now, being December 31st, I still have not received the snare drum, he has ceased responding to any attempt in communication. Adonis has claimed to have moved, but my
order was supposedly complete well before that time. It has been over 7 months, and Adonis Drums has not fulfilled their contract and what was paid for.

Patrick Lynch is now also a liar

AUTHOR: Troy - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, December 20, 2006

I had not, to this point, called Patrick Lynch a
lair. But, his rebuttal is a bold faced lie. All
of my previous report was true in its entirety,
100 percent. I stand by that and will address the
fiction rebuttal Mr. Lynch has filed.

First, I am certainly not "infamous" in the drum
industry. I would like to see some specifics on
that wild claim. I am just one consumer. I do
regular business with Conaway Drums, Centre Street
Drums (Tauton, MA - www.centrestreetdrums.com), and am preparing other orders with drum part suppliers with no problems whatsoever. This is pure fiction and demands some kind of proof.

Second, I was NEVER informed of discontinued parts. He makes the lugs, and he claimed to have the shells I needed at the time. Nothing was ever
said to me about discontinued items. I was also
PAID IN FULL, and Patrick even was good enough to
return to me the money equal to what he had not
yet finished. I have the check from him in my records file here at my home!! Does that sound
like I was never charged in the first place for
discontinued items? He just did not finish the
job. It was only after MY repeated phone calls
and finally contacting his webmaster to get Mr.
Lynch to respond.

Third, I tried to give Patrick another chance
to let us do this right and really liked his
drum lugs, and the work he did. HE refused to
sell to me unless I removed all of this from
the site, and again, was unsatisfied with the
rules of this site in that I could write a good
resolution for all to see. Now, he has bold-face
lied to everyone reading.

I am a professional person with a successful
career as a music artist (non-profit) and graphic
artist. For over 20 years I have gathered a list
of professional and personal references to my
character and I am a man of integrity. I simply
can not believe that this man has written such
outright fiction about me on this site. It is
extremely childish, as is his previous email to
me calling me a "wing a nut", in his words. He
should leave this alone and stop digging a deeper
hole. For the record, I had to go to other drum
companies and suppliers because HE went out of
business, or decided to not do his craft any
longer after posting on his website that he was
moving his business. I have had no troubles with
anyone else...the one other I have done business
with since Adonis.

good luck troy

Troy Winston's account isn't correct. All paid for items shipped and his order was completed in full. His original order contained unstocked items. We didn't charge him for those items and agreed to order them and bill him for them on arrival at a later date.

Unfortunately our supplier discontinued those items. Troy was never charged or paid for unreceived items. I explained the situation to troy. After repeated explanation it became clear that an on going relationship with this customer wouldn't be possible.

He later asked to order more items. I refused his business and continued interaction because of his untruthful posts on this site. Troy is infamous within the drum industry and his business has also been declined by other suppliers.

Situation not resolved after all.

AUTHOR: Troy - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, April 22, 2006

Owner of Adonis Drums, Patrick Lynch, demanded that I remove this report in order to buy leftover stock from his (now) defunct company. When I realized that I could not delete the report, I amended it to reflect that we were now communicating and working things out. However, now that he knows it cannot be removed completely, he has refused to sell me the
drum lugs I needed, not satisfied with a good ending on the Ripoff Report. Please also note that he has resorted to name calling in this incident because I relayed the news that I could not remove the the Ripoff Report entirely. For the record, Patrick Lynch at Adonis Drums (now defunct) has never acknowledged the fact that he ceased all communication while he had my funds, and I was waiting for a product to be complete. That is, until this report was filed and I was forced to leave messages outlining possible action if a product was not completed. All I ever asked for was normal communication, and the product for which I paid for.

Situation has been resolved

AUTHOR: Troy - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, March 27, 2006

Communication was finally re-established, and a
solution was agreed upon by both parties.
For the official record, the quality of the product was never in question, and remains as one of the best among its competitors.
