They showed up 3 days late in a Budget rental truck. They then wanted more than double the estimate amount. I was treated rudely and told I had lied to them and I could agree to a compromise amount or they were going to leave me standing outside with my belongings around me at 4:00pm on a Saturday. I told them I did not have that amount of money and started crying. They called a David and I was given a flat rate of $2400.00. On Wednesday the fallowing week I called to inquire about the delivery and was told my order was canceled. My possessions had been put into a storage unit (10 X 10) and they wanted more money. I flatly refused and then my nightmare began. They would not tell me where my stuff was and wanted me to sign a release form first. I refused until I saw my possessions. After two day and police intervention I was told where my stuff was, cut the lock and regained possession of my items. Yesterday another company came and I discovered there were 16 boxes (some antiques), my box spring and other items missing. They had originally agreed to pay for the 3 days rental truck (shuttle) because of being late. I never received that. The new contract I signed for the flat rate was a binding contract, but they still held my shipment hostage for more money. They insisted I misrepresented the shipment. It was based on my move 1 year prior and taking 10 feet of space. The actual move yesterday was done in the same 10' of space, with room still left. This is a very condensed v ersion of the horror show and nightmare they put me through. Daily complains are rolling into the Better Business Bureau now. I wish they were there before I hired them. Before you call them RUN as fast as you can the other way!
