I was one of the first to get into NewNetMail and eventually after a complaint and a swift call from Darryle Douglas, he was almost upset and when he was more calm he explained more about the "opportunity" and then after a few weeks I tried the Master level account $49.95/month.
I worked the system, being new to the internet I had a bit of a learning curve, but I bought all the advertising info, I read all the tips, I used all the tips and spread the word, even to places like San Francisco. I left cards every where, put magnetic signs, which I still have and through all my efforts, I had only one sign up under me. I corresponded with him.
I also met others through their newnetfriends free social network and eventually corresponded with them also. One was always on the calls and despite being retired and a sick wife he tried all the programs he could afford and others.
Over the years they kept coming out with so many "opportunities with very long pre-launch promotion time and always the similar build up with different packages and side packages. I got into a few over the years, but every time they introduced a new program it seems the last one would fade away. After all the Hype and then the program finally opened, they probably collected most of what they could and in little time new announcement would come out promoting another program. Again long pre-launch promotions in the months and months range, with similar payment packages.
I would listen to Darryle do his call in training and have many of them saved. He would talk for almost an hour or Paul would come on and I swear that after each one, I still wasn't clear on what the deal was. So much emphasis was put on the highlights and very little on what it took. At the end some pretty regular callers would ask questions, but it was like they loved the ones they could twist around.
I did make a few tiny check off my one downline, who eventually quit and I lost that, and one check on a cyclone type thing that would circulate you over and over and you would make money off everyones efforts, so recruiting was necessary, but would help. After months of waiting I kept writing and saying if so many were joining as made out by Darryle, then why was it taking so long for me to see a commission. After a few letters, icorred and cc to Paul Darryle & the suppostedly late Ron, a pastor of some sort, I finally received one check. Based on the number of spots I bought, I should have seen a number of checks coming in. All I received was one and it never paid out again.
Later on it was two morphed programs down the road and in a moment of stupidity, I bought into the newnettravel and got some travel vouchers I've never used because they look like another scam I saw before.
Finally after about six years, much money spent by me and almost none coming in, I discontinued and went to a free newnetmail account. Eventually that stopped working and I never signed up again.
Today, I received another new offer for a GogoHub and a new penny auction site called MyBidShack. They start out say it's only $10.00, but quickly move up to the same old packages and "first in opportunities" as all the others were.
I had almost 350 spilled over names in my account and address book for newnetmail and no matter what I tried, I never got any response from any of them when I sent an icorr, except the few I had met through the newnetfriends. I still wonder if they were just non-existant, made up contacts.
It makes me sick to think of all the older and retired people that they caught in their web of deceit and fleeced. They definitely got a pile off me and probably much more off others.
I don't know how they can keep doing this and I even thought of going to their location and just seeing if these people are for real or not.
By the way, the GogoHub was supposedly going to be better than google, ebay and myspace put together. It never amount to anything I ever heard other internet marketers even bring up.
Feeling sick and dirty after seeing they are still playing the game, but using the pitch about being mad as hell and that the economy and government are taking all our money so give it to them and maybe you will get ten of thousands of dollars at some point. Yeah right, it will never happen for the majority and if they worked with them or were on phone calls they may see something in order to give the illusion that it was real, but no one I new ever made anything substantial.
Makes it hard for people that have invested years of their lives to work a serious online business when so many people basically steal and do it right in from of you and either don't get shut down or they cover it carefully and slither off to new ventures.
Shame on you Paul and Darryle.
