Nue Diamonds sell nothing more than a plain old CZ STONE!

I could have bought this at walmart for $20

This is a scam and clever advertising for something it is not.

I called the GIA that they so heavily advertise on their website and they informed me they do not offer grading reports on simulated diamonds.

The GIA has no records of Nue Diamonds Or Eco Diamonds

This company will over charge you for a plain old CZ stone and will not honor the refund policy when you try to return it..

You were warned!!!

3rd Time RING has to be fixed!

AUTHOR: ERSmith - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, August 19, 2014

Hi, I have been and currently am having issues with my ring that was purchased.  I bought my ring in April 2013, and in August of 2013 the stone was loose.  I contacted the complany and they told me to bring it to a local jeweler, which I did and then they said that the actual setting isn't right for the stone, so that I need to contact the company.  With having a baby and moving to a new duty station, I contacted the company in February, 2014, which Laura was great and had it sent in and the stone was then "fixed".  I was never told what the issue was and when I contacted the company to find out, no response.

The second time in June, 2014, the stone fell out.  I contacted the ccompany and Laura replied with having to have it sent in and repaired.  She said for me to leave specific instructions to have, so that I can know what the issue was.  I did leave specific information with the ring and there was no follow up to it on your companies end, just the ring was "fixed" and sent back to me.  When I contacted the company to find out what was wrong, no response.

Now, the baguette (side stone) of my ring is loose.  I contacted the company and Laura told me to send it in adn the jewelers will look at it and fix it.  What I proposed, because I am frankly sick of the constant issues, is to have a prepaid shipping label to mail it in, since each time it costs me $25 to send because of insurance and costs of postal service.  I also proped to just completely exchange it for a different ring, I have a size 6 Chavanne in a 1.75 carat Platinum ring.  I proposed for it to be swapped for a size 6 Countess ring, 1.5 carat in Platinum.  I think that is more then a fair swap since it costs less than my original ring.  The persons response (not Laura) was to bring it to a local jeweler and get the prongs tightened.  I then said I am not going to do that, since that null and voids the warranty and also what happened to this being "extremely rare" and getting this situation resolved?

All I want is just a d**n ring that I have no issues with.  I paid for it, and I really love the idea behind the ring, so much that I have my brother and brother in law currently looking at rings for their upcoming engagements, BUT how are they going to be comfortable with their purchase if I keep having issues?  I chose a solitaire to exchange with because, it is 6 prongs, with no side stones, to me this seems like issue free.  I would like this to be resolved, so that I can go on with my business, and so that your company can focus on your orders and not this constant reoccurring issue.  Since your company does exchanges with different rings, then I don't see why I can't have this done, since it costs less and I think it seems hassle free.  Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing back on this.

Deceptive at Best - Contact the FTC

AUTHOR: Eric - ()

POSTED: Wednesday, October 16, 2013

Price should have been your first clue.

That being said, the website is perfectly deceptive.  It looks like they have carefully worded everything to just possibly be legal while at the same time misleading the customer in the worst "legal" way.

When you click on "Our Stones", the word simulated does appear a single time and then they talk about meeting the GIA standards for "cut".  However, they talk a whole lot about real man-made diamonds which they don't appear to offer on their website.

On one page they claim, "We are proud to carry the only GIA certified gemstones on the market."  This is untrue on a couple of levels.  First, none of the simulants that I saw can possibly be GIA certified.  Second, even if they do have some real man-made diamonds somewhere they are by no means the ONLY ones on the market.

You should contact the FTC if you are displeased and let them investigate this website to see if they crossed the legal line in addition to crossing the sleazy line.

Throws up a big red flag.

AUTHOR: skeptic - ()

POSTED: Monday, July 08, 2013

With about an hour of research, I have found several things that throw up a big red flag on this nuediamonds.com website.

They state they are simulated diamonds, if you look carefully. This is not the same as a man made diamond. Simulated diamonds are Cubic Zirconium. (CZ).

They say they have an office in Utah...but they are not registered with Utah, or its Secretary of state. (Big Red Flag here).

They mention they started in Washington D.C., but you guessed it...they do not come up on any business search in Washington D.C.

The website is owned and registered in the U.S. Virgin Islands.  That throws up a big red flag.

So with all of that said, I would say that nuediamonds is definitely portraying itself to be something it is not. These are merely cheap CZ stones.

Now that said, you may or may not get an actual legit band - I am not disputing that. But what you have attached to it is going to be worth about 10.00.
