Due to an ongoing 4 year long divorce, and my own state justice system being a mess, along with CitiResidential allowing the NONSENSE and forgery my ex presented to them I never even knew my home was in foreclosure!!
On July 3rd of this year I received a letter in the mail from an attorney outlining the Auction information on my home. I worked diligiently to try and figure out what exactly was going on firstly, then to see what could be done to prevent this and sort this entire mess out - a mess that I never even was made aware of, or knew about!!
After getting nowhere and feeling as if I was going around in circles with the ridiculous information I was learning, I quick listed my house for sale and luckily I have a buyer!
However, here is one more dirty tactic of CitiResidential - they informed me that in order to postpone the auction for 30 days I would need to fax to them, no later than 7-23 three different items. 2 of those items being things that I don't have, nor should I have - the BUYER'S mortgage approval, and outline of their mortgage payment schedule/amount, etc.
The other item is a signed contract. Well guess what - our contract will be signed by Thursday mid-day. According to CitiResidential this is "a little too late" and they will NOT under any circumstance postpone Fridays Auction without this. My attorney has been in contact with them back and forth for days, and even with Letters of Good Faith, Binder information, an outline of the contract, etc etc etc - they will NOT accept the signed contract on Thursday to postpone the sale on Friday.
I am a single mother with 4 small children and with less than a months notice I am losing our home, and even though I have done everything I could to find a buyer to prevent the actual foreclosure, CitiResidential will not grant 24 HOURS to see the signed contract for themselves to allow time for a sale to go through, which not only would it put a family in my home rather than boards on the windows, but it would allow my children and I a little bit of money in our pocket to walk away with after getting it royally from our Legal System here and CitiResidential. Not to mention giving us a small amount of time in order to pack up 12 years of our life and be able to move out of here.
It's a sin and it's disgusting that this can happen here in this country. It's all about the almighty dollar!! I'm asking them for ONE DAY in order to get the contract signed and faxed to them in order to postpone the sale - ONE DAY!! And they will not budge. It's sickening and I think I'm still in shock since learning all of this, but I can't believe this kind of thing is allowed to happen.
