Applied Bank in Wilmington DE. is a small bank with three physical branches: two in DE and one in Westchester PA. This company uses easy credit advertising to attract customers who like myself have fair to poor credit ratings. As I have been able to determine as a layman,not a lawyer, Credit cards are issued using Applied Bank's name but are given and administered by a third party company. This insulates the Applied Bank from customers having difficulty making payments and having them verified in a reasonable time period; generally I found 10 BUSINESS days were required to have a payment CREDITED to my account as opposed to having a payment POSTED. It costs $10.95 to make a payment online. Otherwise their payments are accepted by USPS, moneygram,western union and other paper snail-mail methods. In all cases payments are withheld for 10 days until being CREDITED to the account being paid which causes most unaware customers to have their withheld payment CREDITED after the due date on their bill incurring a $ 35. 00 late payment fee. In trying to access customer service regarding the numerous problems occurring due to the bank credit card division policies, calls are not returned,email is non-existent,statements are unavailable CONTINUALLY due to "website unavailability due to updating,etc.". The call center workers are unable to answer questions and customers are referred to other parties, put on hold and left on hold without anyone else answering. I could continue but I should rather conclude by saying that Applied Bank and their Credit card unit are without a doubt the WORST in the nation. I would vehemently discourage anyone from using Applied Bank credit cards. You will have nothing but trouble and silence from this company. William Williams
