I performed a secret shop as an evaluator for BARE International. The fee was $12.50. I was asked to mail an extra large box from USPS. I was asked to donate items to put in the box and send to a food bank in Las Vegas. The cost to ship was to be reimbursed (not the amount for any items that were donated).
This was the 6th shop I performed for this company. I haven't yet been paid, but they don't pay until the next month. Communication is done through emails with the scheduler.
I performed the shop on 11/19/12 and submitted report the same day. I was sent an email on Monday, 11/26/12 stating the report was not accepted because I didn't meet a deadline. I logged onto the BARE International site to see that there I'd been given an evaluation rating of 8 out of 10. Yet there was a comment stating they couldn't read the copy of the receipt I'd submitted.
Here is the comment:
11/22 Dear Evaluator: The attached receipt files cannot be open because of their file format. [continued below]....
..... Please reformat the files or fax copies of your receipts to email@example.com by 9 a.m. EST on 11/23, when the report will be finalized. Also, please make sure to enter all of the totals from your receipts into the report. Thank you, LT
11/26 Evaluator: The above request was not answered by our deadline. We have not received the receipt images requested above. This report must be excluded.
I did not receive any notification regarding the first request. Yet the request was sent on Thanksgiving day stating I needed to send a copy of receipt by 9am EST the day after Thanksgiving, which is 6am my time.
After receiving the email I sent the receipt with explanation. I was told the report would not be accepted and I would not be paid because I didn't meet the deadline.
