Basement Doctor Waterproofing Company Now Doing Business As Aqua Technologies What happened to Basement Doctor or is it Aqua Technologies Lithicum Maryland

In January 2005, Basement Doctor Waterproofing Company did extensive work in my basement that costs a pretty penny. I decided to wait a few months to ensure that I would not have water in my basement again before turning my basement into a family room. I have yet to go one full year without having puddles of water in my basement. I crindge when I hear reports of rain.

The last two times that they sent someone out (November 2007) and April (2008) the same technician came out and inspected the work. He proceeded to tell me "what work he could do on the basement, if I paid him on the side." I called "Basement Doctor" on yesterday and asked for someone else to come out as I had water in my basement again. I told them about the last tech and asked that they not send him to my home again. I explained that I was having a difficult time in determining what Basement Doctor could repair under the Lifetime Guarantee. I was informed that "Aqua Technologies" had taken over some of Basement Doctor's phone lines. I was told there would be a fee to come out as they didn't have my records and that the employee in question no longer worked for them. I told the staff person that I would fax my contract to them for their records. Low and behold the staff person returned my call and was ready to set up an appointment for Monday. I was then told I would have to pay $250 for them to come out. I said, I was not going to pay and that they should honor the contract. I was told again that Aqua Technologies had bought some of Basement Doctor's phone lines and equipment, but they were not responsible for work done by Basement Doctor.

I fell ripped off and violated as a consumer. Why should I have to pay one red? This is an injustice that needs the attention of the BBB and the MD AG's Office.
