I attempted to get TIVO service activated thru the www.Tivo.com website on 12/28/2004, but was unable to complete the process. A credit card is REQUIRED in order to receive the TIVO monthly service. A call to TIVO customer service on 12/28/2004 confirmed that I will not be able to get TIVO service without a credit card. A call to Best Buy was not answered.
I DO NOT have a credit card to use for internet or phone purchases.
Best Buy and TIVO should publish the fact that 1) TIVO service is required for the rebate and 2) that a credit card is required in order to get TIVO service.
I want my $199.00 plus tax back and Best Buy can have the TIVO!!!!!
