I called best buy and did all the nessecary steps to try and have this fixed and or resolved. I was given the round around and passed from person to person only to be told that I was mistaken and it had to have been physical damage. I insisted there is no way it could have been physically damaged and it had to be something internal.
I was then told that they would have a service person come to look at it , but if they "deemed" it physical damage I would be charged for the visit. I was incredibly upset and asked what I should do because I am a single mother and student and could not possibly afford to pay anything more. They advised me to not have them come because it sounded like physical damage even though I assured them it was not possible.
After all of that I finally just gave up because I was getting nowhere and the crack really hadn't affected the picture at all. now about 6 months later I came home and turned on my T.V to hear a loud popping sound and the red light flicker and the TV not work at all.
Upon closer inspection I saw that there are 2 more huge cracks on the screen of my t.v. after which I did the steps to get help to yet again no avail. I am incredibly upset and pissed off that this company is allowed to do this to people.
I have researched this problem through and through and amazingly there are hundreds of other people in my EXACT situation . I couldn't believe it . This tells me that I am not alone and they are completely ripping people off on not replacing this defective TV. Please help me . I do not know where else to go . Thanks

Not entirely unlikely. I personally have opened and repaired hundreds of televisions including those that have suffered from defective panels. It would be nice know the model number and if the OP can post pictures of the "cracks". The popping noise was probably the Y board going (considering the television no longer shows a display). Panels go bad all the time... and not just plasma... LCD's can suffer from delamination which is a factory defect. Otherwise to be honest... plasma's are being phased out... parts are hard to find... contact samsung if best buy won't help you and go with a nice LED LCD (fewer parts [boards] / fewer things which can go wrong).
A crack just started on its own months after you bought it for absolutely no reason at all? I call bullcrap on this one. I mean, something had to cause that damage to the TV while it was at your home. You may not be aware of the source of the damage, but I'm pretty confident in saying that it's not BB's fault and they were right to call it physical damange.
