I had previously had 2 tires that I bought a t Big o replaced because the sidewall was cracking all the way around.  One of the tires they replaced it with is starting to do the same thing.  I went in and had them check it out and they said it still had just enough tread life to be replaced.  They ordered the tire and said come back the next day.  when I brought it in and dropped it off they called me 30 min. later and said they cant warranty it because of the wear to the inside of the tire.  and that they had a sale on tires now so it would save me 17.00 off a new tire.  Ever since Jarrod left as store manager this shop has gone downhill.  I will now be doing business at Discount Tire on Magee and Oracle.

I am sorry this customer is unhappy with our service but unfortunately when a tire is unevenly worn we cannot provide free replacement.  The tire in question was worn bald on the inside edge as was the other rear tire on the vehicle.  This is a very common characteristic of the vehicle alignment being out, which is what I told the customer.  This same cracking issue was present on two tires the customer had previuosly bought but when he brought those in after 40k on a 50k tire both tires were replaced at no cost to him. Unfortunately after 40k on this tire it was alignment worn and could not be warrantied.  There was about 30 min between the time the customer dropped off the car and when I called him but it was about that long before we got the car in the bay due to other cars that were being finished and we didn't see the inside edge wear until we took the tire off.  I did offer the customer two tires at $17.50 off per tire with the sale we were having and also spoke with him about getting his alignment checked at which time he told me he just had it done 8-10 months ago when he had his power steering rack replaced.  I said the alignment was probably good then but that was probably why these two tires were worn this way.  I apologize for how things worked out but again if a tires is worn unevenly from under rotation, alignment or failing suspension components it voids all warranties that come with the tire.
