Blue Yellow Book THIS COMPANY IS A TOTAL SCAM Aventura Florida

I am a victim of the "Blue Yellow Book" scam.

I am the President & Owner of a small business in Las Vegas, Nevada.

A high pressured sales person called my receptionist in August, telling her that a year ago I had signed up for a free listing in the "Blue Yellow Book". (This never happened... I had never heard of Blue Yellow Book until they started harassing us for payment this year.) We don't deal with the general public and do not take listings in any version of the Yellow Pages... Blue or otherwise!

They questioned my receptionist about our correct address, and then asked her about how to invoice us. As the owner of the company, I am the only person authorized to make payment or contract committments.

All of the above conversation with my receptionist was audio taped, and on file with Blue Yellow Book.

What is not on the tape, is what happened next. After my receptionist told the man that he could invoice my company, she said that she had to double check this with me. She put the man on hold, asked me what to do, and I told her to tell him that "we were not interested." She did as I instructed, and informed the Blue Yellow Book that we were not interested in paying for any listings. I was standing next to her when she said this so I know what was said. Blue Yellow Book conveniently does not have the last part of the conversation where we turned down their offer on tape.

Since that time (in August 2008), my office has been plagued with harassing calls from the Blue Yellow Book about our $689 balance due.

These people are relentless, and after months of them badgering us, I called Nancy Moore, several times & let her have it. I kept calling, asking for a supervisor, and when I finally reached a supervisor, she informed me that (at the end of our call) our call had been taped, and that she felt I was calling too much (!!! that's the pot calling the kettle black!), & that if I ever called again she would use the tape to prove "to the authorities that my aggressive phone behavior constituted a felony." (I'm not a lawyer but this made me laugh out loud!)

When I informed the supervisor that taping someone without their prior knowledge & permission was not legal, she called me few choice names and hung up.

I'd rather go to court & pay my attorney a huge sum than give these rip off artists one cent.

I would be happy to join any class action suit against Blue Yellow Book.
