I met this young man online. He told me his sad stories and wanted to start a new life somewhere and thought Des Moines, Iowa might be a good place. I did background and criminal background checks on Zabasearch with no derogatory information coming back. Supposedly loaned money for bus ticket, however his paycheck forwarding here never happened.

In 2 1/2 mos. this young man took me for about $12,000.00
I came home from work early one day and discovered he had loaded my van with over $3000.00 in new karaoke equipment, as well as several personal items from my home and disappeared.
Judging from my current phone bill he is more than likely in the Flint, Michigan areaa at the moment.
Later that evening I discovered he was a fugitive from justice with a nationwide warrant out of Coeurdalene, Idaho. Burglary being one of the charges. He also walked away from a work furlough program.
He has a 12 yr old son living in Coeurdalene, Idaho, not that he called him too often, not even the weekend he supposedly flew to Spokan, Washington with the story he was picking his son up and bringing him to Iowa.
Another shock! Surprised to hear that law enforcement here in Des Moines is not too much help, nor Flint, Michigan area? Des Moines police automatically assume that since he was staying in my home that this is a domestic issue! Rather than taking the phone number he had been calling for several days, Michigan said if they see my van and run it and it comes back stolen, they'll get it......
It also turned out that another woman in Wishek, North Dakota had sent him a bus ticket to travel there from Idaho, but he didn't stay long as she told him she is raising 5 kids and had no money to give him.
After speaking with the girl at the Michigan number she said she met him online and really didn't know much. After speaking with a gentleman she assumed to be law enforcement, she started talking, but still says he has never arrived, please, it's been a week.
Because of some questions she asked during the conversation, I am positively convinced Bret was setting right there telling her what to ask, as he recognized the voice calling her.
I will not give up on locating him.

I invite anyone who ever reads this pack of lies to use their best judgement and realize that they are reading a story written and manufactured by the scorned ex-girlfriend. I really like how anyone can write anything about anyone with absolutely no proof of any kind for the rest of the world to believe as fact. What a joke of a website! To address the things that have been said about me in this story, I did take the car, and that was wrong. I was charged for it and did my time accordingly, but as for the rest, what a bunch of bull! I did not take money or anything that did not belong to me. Why is it that when a women gives you anything while you are in a relationship with her, it's yours, but the moment you leave every penny is accounted for and wanted back, or you stole it from her? As for the so called escape that I was wanted for, I simply did not check into jail when I was supposed to. That great state decided to call it escape which was proven in court to also be a bunch of bs, and the charges were promptly dismissed. I have made some bad choices in my life, but who hasn't? The dollar amount that is listed in this little story is a gross inflation as well. What, you added in mental anguish? As for you Teri Sue Andrews of Des Moines, Iowa, do the right thing and remove this report. I'm sorry things didn't work out, and you know the truth as to why. A person should not have to live the rest of their life with stuff like this floating around on the net. It's been many years now and I'm just trying to live my life. Get over it and remove this post. Thank you to all that took the time to read a little of my side of the story. I have never really been into airing my dirty laundry on the net, but I felt I should at least say something. Thank you again. Bret

LOCALLY IN DES MOINES IF THE 1998 CARAVAN IS LOCATED (WITH OR WITHOUT BRET W. GRYTNESS) CALL 515-283-4811 REGARDING AUTO THEFT CASE #05-305-37345, INFORMATION REGARDING PROPERTY THEFT CASE #05-36784.
ALSO, I AM NOT ABSOLUTELY SURE HE HAS LEFT THE DES MOINES AREA, HE COULD HAVE CALLED MICHIGAN TO THROW ME OFF TRACK. A WOMAN HE WAS CONTACTING HERE HAS ADMITTED BEGINNING A RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM.

Since filing my report on badbusinesbureau.com a couple new hits have come up on Bret Grytness. The most pertinent being an old
article from Spokane, Washington. They report on people being released from prison. Seems as though Bret Grytness was released in 1998 aftr serving 18 mos. of a 3 year sentence for
forgery.
