City lending got to me too. Arthur Duncan called and told me I had been fully approved for my loan for 5000 bucks. I was pretty excited as I was using it for consolidation. He called me a week later to talk about it more and told me that because of my credit there wasnt a bank in the US that would give me the loan so we had to use a Canadian lender.
He went on to tell me that I had to pay off the first 6 months of the loan to show the lending company that I would make my payments due to poor credit history. I did sent the money via money gram to a woman named Ellen in Medicine Hat Alberta Canada. The following morning David Miller called me to tell me that my loan had been re assessed and that I had to pay an additional 900 bucks to get the loan. A close family friend lent me the money after reviewing the loan agreement as I was promised the money the following day. The next morning i wake up and the company is no more.
I went to the police station just to see what kinda steps I could take to finding these people and the Trooper I spoke with did not believe me about the fraud until he went online and saw for himself. The legit looking contract really through him for a loop. I would love to find these people and am willing to help out in anyway. I just dont want them to have another name and start doing this again to someone else.
Now i just need to figure out how to take the debt I was in add in the now 900 bucks i owe to my friend and get outa debt. Shitty thing is I am moving to Arizona in 2 months and this isnt helping out at all.

hello nikki from New york I am also a victim of city lending group look on rip off reports look for a Jill from Waterford you will find the way to contact her want to also talk to the same people that scammed you we found there lateset scam its still up and running cause it just got started on Feb 26,2008 it is called Heritage Lending Services phone number 1-866-231-9027 Ext. 639 ask to speak to a Michael Peters it sounds just like the person we talked to at city lending group keep calling them if we cant catch them at least we can bother them so much with phone calls they wont be able to do there (buisness) contact Jill she will give you all the info of who to contact to file complaints and letters that need to be wrote.
We will keep everyone informed what there next loan scam is so again we can call them and give them a hard time.We as the people of this country need to stand together and have our voices be heard to have justice please call us ASAP

This company has shut down their fake website, look at all of theses ripoff reports.com and find the info for Jill Beyer, MI. she can direct you further. I am also a victim since, 1/08. This company is a scam and are now trying to steal all of our identities. Report this to all local authority, bbb, ftc, phone busters,fbi,secret service, money gram, etc. we all will not rest until David Miller is in prison, that S.O.B.
