Company requires payment in advance and does not deliver resume product or delivers very low quality drafts at uncertain dates (could be a month or more in between drafts) and does not reply to phone calls, phone messages, or emails with questions, revisions/comments on the drafts, or even complanints about the low quality service provided, disrespect for deadlines, and undelivered products.

This kind of companies should be out of business and the scammers fined for stealing money from people with elaborated scams.

Two 'resume-writer' names (if at all real names) in the company that can never be reached or reply to calls or emails:

REBECCA ELDERLEN

CANDACE SHIELDS

And they are even announced in the Wall Street Journal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Read their scammer language in their kind of hidden Privacy Policy section: "You acknowledge that Creative-Resumes LLC makes no claims or guarantees as to the accuracy or success of its services. If you are dissatisfied with any Creative-Resumes LLC material, or with any of Creative-Resumes LLC's terms and conditions, your sole and exclusive remedy is to discontinue using Creative-Resumes LLC."

I would like to open by saying that Rip Off Report recommends that a negative post be used as an opportunity to make amends to the disgruntled customer.


Great!


Except Bob from St. Louis does not exist.

 

I have not responded to this derogatory post for the past several years because I was advised not to. However, this post has been directly affecting my business for several years, and I feel I must respond.

 

The content of the post is completely false. I never had a client named Bob from St. Louis, nor did I ever deal with any serious customer complaints during the time I worked with Creative Resumes.

 

I have hundreds of satisfied clients, and any potential customer who would like to email me directly is welcome to numerous references and samples of my work. I also welcome you to visit my site, www.candaceshields.com and read the client testimonials page.

 

I find it very disheartening that a former, disgruntled employee, who was actually fired for incompetence, can write something like this, use a false name and address, and be taken seriously.

 

Rip Off Report makes no secret of the fact that they do not verify or fact-check the information that is posted here. Bob from St. Louis is not a real person; I am.

Candace Shields is an excellent writer - I need her writing skills again

I googled a search in the hopes of locating Candace Shields so she could update my resume but found this site instead. Candace wrote my resume and cover letter about three years ago and did a really good job. She was sure to keep in contact with me at all times also.

I can't imagine why the original person that wrote this would call the company a scam because its not true.

I first sent my resume in for a free evaluation and spoke to Sales Rep Wendy Banks. I felt her to be honest and thorough, and so I decided to purchase an Executive Level Resume.

I was then assigned to Writer Candace Shields and was very impressed with her professionalism and writing expertise.

I have nothing but very good things to say about both Candace Shields and Wendy Banks.

Not once did I ever experience a problem contacting either employee. In fact my new resume was delivered to me before the imposed deadline and so effective that I landed a job very quickly and later referred others for their services also.

Bob,

I am the Sales Director for Creative Resumes. I was very concerned to find CR reported here.

I looked through company records in order to contact you directly to further investigate your complaint and could find no sale to a Bob or Robert in St. Louis or Missouri.

This is not how Creative Resumes does business. I want to resolve this situation. Would you please email me at wendy.banks@creative-resumes.com? I would like to speak with you by phone if possible and find a solution to your dissatisfaction.

Just so all consumers know, the CR privacy policy is a standard policy used by the majority of resume companies. A resume company can present you in the best light possible. It cannot guarantee you a job. If you face challenges such as frequent career changes, job hopping, industry pigeonholing, or long employment gaps, you face a true challenge in landing a new job.

The most important reason for the wording in this policy is to protect the company in the event that the client provided false information. An individual that presents a resume to an employer that contains false information is subject to charges of fraud. This policy protects the resume company if a client provided false information regarding their job history.

I am a resume consultant and writer who takes great pride in my customer service and writing capabilities. CR has many, many satisfied clients.

Bob, I am sincerely sorry if you had a bad experience with CR. Please contact me so we can show you what our company is really about.
