Danny's Family Car Wash Stained the front passenger seat of my 3 week old 2008 Mazda6 Tempe Arizona
I recently took my brand new 2008 Mazda6 to the Tempe Marketplace location of Danny's Family Car Wash- actually it a was Father's Day, June 15. The car had approx 375 miles on it and was 3 weeks old. I went for a car wash but the guy upsold me for a wax. Upon completion I went to get in my car but had to ask the guy to clean the wax pencil markings off the windows where they had written on it, then I got in and noticed the antenna stuffed between my visor and headliner so I grabbed it, got the guy's attention and he put it on... I got back in the car and that is when I saw the red marks on the passenger seat so I exited the car once again and called for the manager- they first tried to remove the spots where it sat in the parking lot but after a few minutes decided to move it to a bay and that is when I saw the trunk bobbing up and down- they were about to let me leave with an unlatched hood too! They got a plastic mesh covered sponge and tried to remove the stain but now the seat cushion has worn spots on the fabric- I let it dry overnight as instructed and it is not satisfactory. I spoke to Randym a General Manager on Monday and he indicated that it is Brian's store and that he should take care of it...and he would have Brian call me to set up an appt- he also said he would do whatever it takes to make me happy. Brian called me Tuesday morning and advised he would meet with me at the store that morning. Brian advised me that he could have his upholstery guy look at it- I asked what he thought he could do as you can't replace fabric that has been worn- but he didn't know. I advised since the car is 3 weeks old I felt a replacement cushion would be the only acceptable offer- I even had spoken to Earnhardts and gotten an estimate. He then refused to do anything and when I requested that he get someone else on the phone from the corporate office he said no, I could call if I wanted to- I told him I would call from inside the carwash and he indicated that if I made a scene he would call the police. I DID call the corporate office- the young lady that works the front counter assisted me. I spoke to the receptionist at the corporate office and she advised me that Jack would call me back. I waited for the phone call but no one ever called. Brian then indicated that no one would be calling me back as he had called Jack and told him everything was handled. The security for the marketplace was called and I left. I have left a message for Michael the attorney for Danny's Family Car Wash but he also didn't call me back. I have sent a complaint email to Heather who is the VP of operations- with pictures of the stains attached. The worst part is the three idiot general managers are apparently the only people who have access to the owner Danny- I feel certain he would want to know what is going on within his company- and if not, then what does that say for "Danny's FAMILY Car Wash"?
