DiscountBookSale.com charged my credit card for unrequested "service" Internet

I used my credit card to purchase a book from DiscountBookSale.com. They sent a confirmation for my order and showed I would be charged for the book and shipping- a total of $4.39.

I checked my credit card later and noticed they charged my account a second time, for another $19.95. I called them and they told me there was a box on the order form with a default that signs you up to be a "member". I told them I did not want the membership and to refund my account. They cancelled the account but would not refund my "membership" for the five days that I didn't use this "membership". They would have charged me this fee monthly had I not noticed.

Two phone calls and no one would help. One person insisted that I was sent a confirmation of my "membership" but I checked my span mail and there is nothing there. Funny, I recieved four emails tracking my order but nothing showing a $19.95 membership! They were very happy to keep me on hold for several hours waiting for a manager that never picked up the phone. All this and still no book!

I will never use them again and have vowed to tell everyone my experience with this so called company. Theives!
