This is Heather from Idaho again. The site won't let me delete the comments I made earlier so instead I just wanted to update. I was very upset but was able to talk to a man who ended up being very helpful. I explained my concerns to him, why I felt I had been mistreated, and what I wanted to see happen. Ecommerce came through on everything I asked for. After someone from the company looked into my concerns they said they understood why I was frustrated and worked with me 100%. They ended up coming through with what was stated in my contract and I have no complaints against them.

Ecommerce Scammed me!

AUTHOR: Heather - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, December 09, 2010

I'm fairly baffled by this sting of reports. The first report told of (what was to me) an honest account of what happened to some poor consumer. The spelling isn't perfect, all the more reason to believe it was just a regular person trying to explain what went on. Most of the following rebuttals simply said "Ecommerce is great. It worked for me!" Who is to say that those rebuttals aren't company employees or friends of the employees?

All I know is that I'm a "regular person" who is entirely untrained in internet marketing. I fell hook, line, and sinker for the promises and lies made to me by Ecommerce Positioning. I was talked into getting the 60 keyword package for thousands of dollars and was told that the higher the number of keywords, the higher my chances of being seen. I was able to pick the keywords myself and my rankings would be based on those keywords. I read through the contract with my husband and we had a problem with it. We wondered if Ecommerce could just get us ranking on some unknown search engine and then claim they had done their job. So we asked for a change in the contract to state that our rankings would be on all 17 major search engines. The man who signed us up said that they couldn't change the contract as it would cost hundreds of dollars but that they would give me something IN WRITING to gaurantee our desired results in addition to the contract. In my contract (the real one) it stated that I would get ranking reports and blogging reports every 90 days. The warrenty on the contract states that if within 12 months, Ecommerce does not fulfill any of it's services as listed, I would be able to get 100% of my money back.

Of course, I felt great about it and signed the papers.

Long story shortened for your benefit, we had no results the first 3 months. When I called in to discuss the problems I was told to just wait. I did, I waited for a year. In fact, Ecommerce even agreed that it wasn't doing it's job and didn't charge me the monthly "fee" becuase my results were so bad. Don't think that's a great deal of anything, I had already shelled out thousands of dollars.  Once the 12 month mark hit, I filled out the cancellation survey as I had waited long enough. I just wanted my money back and to move on. Surprise, surpise, Ecommerce claimed that no refund was possible. Not a single dollar. When I brought up the fact that of my 60 keywords less than 5 were ranking on the first pages and some were even spelled wrong!!! But hey! Since I had some very random keywords that had very little to do with my website and that I HAD NOT PICKED! they had done their job and were therefore not breaking their contract.

I was amazed when I went back and read the contract because it does say that it will get you the rankings (but slyly leaves out that it wont be for all the keywords you are paying for or even for the keywords that you pick, so be aware of that! I wish I would have caught that!)

I also only recieved 3 ranking reports and 0 blogging reports during my 12 months with the company. So even though they can get by with their MAJOR lie about getting your rankings (even if it's only one on some tiny search engine and it's some random word that doesn't mean crap to your website) they didn't come through on their promise to get me those reports.

When I brought up the addition to my contract given to me in writing from Ecommerce, they said they woudn't even consider honoring that.

I will be taking this to a lawyer. I hope everyone reading this scours every word of their tricky little contract before they sign. Be forewarned that you may only get results on ONE keyword that you don't even pick and their end of the deal is covered. What kind of a deal is that? Why pay for 60 keywords? Just get the 1 keyword package!!! Better yet, DON'T DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY!!!

You may luck out like one of the above rebuttals state (although I still think those are fake or friends of the company). I for one am NOT some competitor of Ecommerce. I don't know ANYTHING about Internet marketing. Hence the reason I signed up with them. But I am making it a personal mission to warn others about the "tricks" this company uses to get you sign and then not have to come through with what they say.

Just do me a favor and along with this great website also check on the Better Business Bureau report. The address is www.bbb.org. They have a D+ rating. What I signed up, I checked it out and they had a B+. In one year, they've gone downhill quite a bit. Many people are unsatisfied.

Just do some research and read every word of that contract. They are tricky! When Ecommerce reads through the contract with you over the phone and easily slides over certain parts or say things verbally to make you feel better even though the contract is stating otherwise, catch that!

That's my story. I had a very bad experience with Ecommerce. It may work for some people, I'm happy for them. I don't wish anyone this headache of losing thousands of dollars for basically no services rendered. Just because your given a warranty that if doesn't work, you'll get your money back, don't believe that! You wont.

www.EasyFitnessOnline.com

AUTHOR: Fitness Site Owner - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, June 10, 2010

My name is Lisa and I am a brand new website owner.....like most people these days.  I have a comment to add to this supposed report.  This report is completely false and is probably written by an upset competitor of eCommerce Positioning.  1st off, the client that has the 206 area code is a client of theirs and he owns Aurora Clutch and More off the Aurora in Seattle but that is beside the point.  The person that posted this report should have known that.  2nd our contracts that we sign do not guarantee sales and even if they did that would be illegal.  To further this point we sign guarantee TOP RANKINGS ON THE MAJOR SEARCH ENGINES NOT SALES!!!!  And top rankings is defined in the initial call with Heather's Customer Service Team. 3rd not all SEO Companies are scams.  People assume they are because they don't think or read or research all the companies they deal with.  SEO is a legitimate way of marketing your website.  Grant it, it takes time to get a site ranked and some of us new website owners can't find the patience to wait out the duration of the contract we sign with eCommerce Positioning and sometimes don't even see sales but that is down side to owning a website is fronting most of the work yourself or pay a company to get you where you need to be to make the sales.

But with time I have spent with eCommerce Positioning they have showed me how differently they work from other SEO companies I have researched.  I started off with a notation of owning a fitness website and thus registered www.easyfitnessonline.com.  Soon after came a call from Xavier.  Xavier was very informative in our first call and taught me a lot of things I didn't know I had to do while building my site and things I would have to do after my site was built.  I soon started asking questions about what Xavier and eCommerce Positioning could do for me.  We soon started getting a game plan together.  I decided to have my website built and marketed through eCommerce Positioning.

Now, it's only been since May that my website has been up and completely operational but I have already made my first sale!!!  eCommerce Positioning is great for the new website business owner because they call you frequently to update you on your site and where it is ranking, they call and give suggestions on how to better your site to improve sales because as we know just because you have a website store doesn't mean people are just going to click in and buy.  Their design team wants your input on how to design your site and even give you some creative feedback to make your ideas pop and come together.  And with the help of eCommerce Positioning's Customer Service Team and ongoing consultations from Xavier my site has been making progress.  In fact, you can come check me out at www.easyfitnessonline.com or you can search for my top ranked keywords which are buy fitness accessories: Ranked on Yahoo on the 1st page, Position 4; buy free weights: Ranked on Yahoo on the 2nd page, Position 2; discount aerobic accessories: Ranked on Google on the 2nd page, Position 4; buy fitness accessories: Ranked on Google on the 3rd page, Position 1.

I have no clue who this person is that posted this report but my experience was completely on the other side of the spectrum. I can tell you through my own experience that it has been worth the wait, time, and money I have put into this notation.....like most people I just wanted to make a little extra each moth on top of my income and soon and that will be a reality with the help of my team at eCommerce Positioning.

Good Experience

AUTHOR: TheBieb - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, June 10, 2010

I have been working with this company for about 9 months now, and after having no success with several other marketing firms, needless to say I was more than a little hesitant about spending money with these guys.  The salesperson I spoke with first was surprisingly informative, and when i told him i thought i would hold off for the time being i was almost shocked to not run into the same high pressure scare tactics that up until that point i had grown to expect.  After much consideration, i decided to sign on with this company a couple of weeks later and I'm happy to say that I've been pleased with the progress that my website has been making since. After I felt confident that my site was on the right track, I took the advice of a friend to have it redesigned.  After being satisfied with what their marketing team had accomplished i decided to try out their web design crew.  This was BY FAR the best decision i made with my business! The plain template i had before doesn't even compare to my new professional looking storefront! Check it out, www.RoosRule.com   Since the redesign i saw a slight increase in traffic flow, but what blew me away was the almost immediate increase in sales that i saw.  Though some of my more competitive keywords have taken longer to get ranked, I still see a very reasonable number of sales off of some of my other keywords, ex. I'm on the first page of yahoo under '08 wrx parts' (i sell performance parts for Subaru's, the wrx being a very popular model). I'm surprised to see such a harsh complaint about this company. from what i read, our experiences haven't been anything alike. im not expecting for this site to turn me into a millionaire, but i have been more than satisfied with what is has done for me so far. i would recommend any other ecommerce owners to check these guys out for their marketing or their webdesign.

DISAGREE

AUTHOR: Heidi - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, June 10, 2010

News to me. First off, LEARN TO SPELL. Second, I have been a client with ECommerce Positioning since August last year and RANKING well enough to be making sales. See for yourself, type "designer wall clock" into Google and see my site on the FIRST page (placeofclocks.com). I was with a company for several months (I will refrain from using the company's name as they ACTUALLY DO have a class-action lawsuit against them in UTAH, isn't that where you're from? Interesting...) and they NEVER did what they said they were going to do to get my website seen. It was just stranded out there in cyber space for months and the only people who could find it were people I knew. ECommerce did what they said they were going to do in the very beginning. Every time I called to ask a question, they were always there to assist me. Good luck getting that with "unsaid company" 's customer service!
I am not ignorant to what is being said out there about ECommerce Positioning. In fact, Brandon was the one who directed me to every site like this one to see what is being said. Not every company has an A+ rating and can't please everyone. Even Disney and Target have a fair share of complaints about them out there.
This company does have a valid contract I had my lawyer review before signing and was explained to me in detail. I am not one of those people who fall easily for any solicitor out there, and pride myself in doing research in any company before using their services.
All in all, ECommerce Positioning did what they said they were going to do, and for that I am EXTREMELY happy. Are you even a customer with them? Doubtful. If you were you wouldn't be on here writing that. Now I am going back to processing orders.

False report! not true

AUTHOR: anonymous - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, June 10, 2010

This is John Stiles, with 4usleepingbags.com, I've been with their company for a little bit over 1 year.  With the services of SEO/VSEO that they've provided for me has been helping me tremendously. I first signed up with them in May of 2009, and got ranked under 12 of my 15 keywords package. Keywords like "children's sleeping bags, and brand name sleeping bags" brought me tons of sales.  Mothers and grandmas seem to really enjoy these type of things for their kids or nieces. They had me ranking after the first 3 months, and when their customer service team called me to imform me that they were updating me with their latest technology tool, called VSEO, visual search engine opt. I had no idea what it was, but they explained it to me and walked me through it.  Best part was, they gave it to me for free to help me out, and the only thing I had to pay for was monthly fees.  Which is understandable, its only 50 bucks towards my business, at least it generates me true ranking and got me sales.  They did specificly tell me that they DO NOT GUARANTEE sales.  Only first page ranking, and they did do their job, and give me more. So im in all happy with their services and updates every month.   Stop Lying Jeff, you need to do spelling check before posting things.
