I enrolled in their web designer course on 11-6-02. A course that should take about a year is taking me 2 years plus. Reason?

When I started, I could only get through to an instructor during the end of the week. At that time, most of the instructors admitted that their main job was programming for other more profitable Thomson projects while student support was secondary. In addition, instructors told me to try to call near the end of the week when it's not so busy.

Education Direct advertises in it's print brochures and website that they offer unlimited and unparalled instructor support. This is not the case. No matter when I call,I get a rfecording telling me to call back when it's less busy. If Education Direct cannot provide the instructor support they advertise, then they are engaging in false and mis-leading advertising practices. On
8-22-03, I sent a certified letter to the preseint of the company. He received it on 8-26-03. Today is 9-12-03, and I never got the courtesy of a phone call or a written response to my complaint.

Since then, I have turned them into the BBB, the attorney general of PA, the US Postal Inspector and the FTC. I will continue to turn them in to every state and federal law enforcement agency available until I get a refund of $818. If not, I will also explore my class action suit options.

Education Direct Does Not Provide Instructor Support When Needed

AUTHOR: Rodney - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, September 12, 2003

I enrolled in their web designer course on 11-6-02. A course that should take about a year has dragged on 2+ years. Reason?

When I started I could only get through to an instructor 2 or 3 days a week. When I started, most instructors admitted that their main job was doing programming for other more profitable Thomson projects while student support was secondary. Then as time went on, instructors told me to try to call on Fridays when it wasn't so busy.

Education Direct advertises in it's print brochures and website that they offer
unlimited and unparalled instructor support. This is not the case.

Now, no matter what time or day I call, I get a recording telling me to call back when it's not so busy.If Education Direct cannot provide the instructor support they advertise, then they are engaging in false and mis-leading advertising practices. On 8-22-03, I sent a certified letter to their president. He received it on 8-26-03.

Today is 9-12-03 and I have not been give the courtesy of a phone call or written response. Since then, I have turned in the company to the BBB, the attorney general of PA, the US Postal Inspector and the FTC.

I will continue to turn them in to every state and federal law enforcement agency that has jurisdiction over them until I get a refund of $818. If not, I will explore all my class action suit options.
