These are the claims of Freedom power via website, "Freedom Power can give you the unique chance to buy prepaid electricity. Whether your needs are residential or commercial... trust us to provide you with the most reasonable options and great customer service. Choose from our options and start saving now!! No credit checks, no deposits You pay less to get more....We want you to able to rely on us for our dependability and dedication to the neighborhoods we serve. We have grown into an organization that can continuously provide customized affordable energy solutions and high quality products." All a bunch of bull! I was told that there was no deposit required and that I was to prepay for my first months rent based on the usage of electricity in the apartment I stay in. I informed the agent that I just moved in...she then told me that they would use the previous renter's usage, and after the first month I will pay based on my own usage. I payed $76+ After a 10 weeks I received a bill from my apartment Complex stating that I owed them for using the apartment complex' energy provider. I found out that Freedom Power never connected my service. They told me I owed 26 cent! I payed my bill while on the phone with a customer service agent and they told me the exact price to pay, and I payed what I was told! So why was my service not connected?! I called to rectify the issue, I informed them of the situation. They gave me the run around. They didn't address the mistake made by the agent..completely disregarded it! Then they told me that I had to pay 106+ dollars to have them connect my service. "I payed $70+  already!" I exclaimed. "that's because you're service was disconnected and there is a fee to be reconnected." the agent said. ( thought there was no deposit to pay to hget service with Freedom Power, and why am I being penalized for the companies mistake?) Since I was already being billed by my apt complex I payed the money. 2 weeks later, I received another bill close to 400 dollars. I thought... clearly a mistake. They told me that it was to cover the first month.  I had their service for 2 weeks and had to pay close to 400 dollars! I stay in a rat hole! Only 500+ square feet. How did the people before use 400 dollars worth of electricity? I payed the bill in installments for the whole month paying 50-100 dollars every other 3 days to keep my lights on for 1-2 days at a time! Then after the month was up I received another bill near 400 dollars. I called to inquire about the price which I expected to be low since I never used my air conditioning, and was hardly ever at home. I was told previously that  after a month my bill would be based on my own usage. They gave me the some lame story, then danced around the issue. Problem never solved. Over a course of time I was paying 100 dollars to keep my lights on for a day, then 50...60 and another set of hundreds plus late fees every month. I was paying more than what they claimed I owed. I had my lights turned off, and I spent most of my checks on the light bill! It was a rip off. I can't even type every incident that I had dealing with freedom power! I over payed them every month, slept in the dark, and ended up paying close to 300 dollars to my apartment complex because of them. The agents were rude and trained to be the best bull corn'ers ever! I want to sue! I want my money back. THey were nothing like they advertised!

Cut to the chase......

AUTHOR: Adolph - (USA)

After reading the silly claims put forth by "Freedom Power", and your experience, I think I could offer a more worthwhile plan. Send me $50.00 by Pay Pal and for every payment I'll send a credit to your electric supplier of $40.00.
