GI Joes Radio Electronics Ripoff Is A Major Internet Scam and The Store Does Not Exist Richmond Kentucky

i ordered a cb from g.i joe radios. on a wednsday before mlk day shipped out friday no mail sunday or monday mlkday got my cb thursday after mlk so they are no a rip off  would buy from them again

 I ordered a radio from here paid $356.95 total on my cc. I placed the order on 11/06/2016. I called twice to check on my order. I am happy to say I have received my radio in new condition with the tune up I ask and paid for. 11/16/16 I got it via ups and I am all good. I see the reports of this place being a "rip off". Have you guys not been reading my rebuttals here? Of course you got your radidio! And you bet your rear, that a week & a half to Australia is so fast that it's mind boggling. We have the same kind of stores up here in Northern Illinois. These so called trucker fill stations are the best! Yeah! of course that's where his business is. Where else should it be? Recalling what I spent was not just $400.00 but a cool $650.00 + from Wes. And I s**t you not! I received my crap quicker than flies on a horses a*s. As soon as I made my purchase online, I received the email receipt almost immediately. It takes time to do mods. Your radio is not the only radio they are working on. And look how fast you got yours. I don't know about the rest of y'all out there, but my Ranger RCI 2970N2 kicks royal a*s! What the heck is that guy from silver a*s complaining about anyways????? over a shipping confirmation number?  What a joke. I feel sorry for Wes. Look how hard they are working for us. And some handy wipe complains over a phone call? a shipping number? And sent the police to his place too? This guy needs his balls cut off and his radio shoved up his rear. He don't deserve any kind of antenna. What an idiot!

I don't know what this guy is talking about. 
As I always received their email shipping confirmations & receipts in my email inbox quicker than dog doo.

Wes was very quick to ship, email, and answer the phone. 

So what is this guy complaining about?   Oh yeah!  because he did not answer the phone????

That is all?????   you got to be joking right?  

This guy must be on crack or something as I remember calling during a holiday & after
hours, and I always got a answer machine & the chance to leave a message.

Don't believe this whiner.  Wes is legit. Rest assured I have proof of the email confirmations, receipts, etc.

This business is very professional, real, and down to earth. So help me God!

TOP NOTCH!

I've purchased two radios from GI Joes. One in 2008 & another in 2009.
I bought a Magnum 257 amateur radio and a Ranger RCI 2970N2. Both radios were top notch.

The mods were done as expected. 
I called for service a couple times for minor things & Wes answered the phone quickly and promptly
every single time. He was polite, and very good at resolving my problems. 

between both radios, I spent well over $400.00 or around that. 
I was never ripped off. They have incredible shipping speed, courteous service, and they have a good 
selection of radios & equipment at a great price. 

I still have both radios today. 

I don't care if they work out of a garbage can! Their web site is decent, pleasing to the eyes, and 
it is easy to find what I'm looking for.

Wes is an easy going guy. Very well mannered, and processed my purchase with professionalism.

Whoever is complaining, must be some kind of a*****e and just trying to discredit Wes.
Take it from me, these guys are the best!

It is rather ironic after owning several trucks and running
hauls for other companies that I have finished an extended major and masters in
industrial psychology.

my buddy bought a cb radio and a amplifier. total around $600 bucks. got it fast with no problems. just last week i bought 2 different mast poles for a wilson 2000 trucker antenna. got it cheap and fast. sorry for your loss. i can white out some personal info and put up my reciept.

Although I have no intention of going to Kentucky to find GI Joe's but I have made a few orders from GI Joe's Radio Electronics and have never had any problems. I still use the Texas Ranger CB I purchased from them and it has never needed service. They added an echo knob and I don't have any complaints. I even called them to ask how to use the 2 potentiometer echo control and they were very courteous and helpful.
 
I have not ordered from them recently so my experience with them is over 1 year old but I thought their service was great.

I purchased a 10 metre radio from G.I. Joe's about 3 years ago. It shipped to me in 14 days (to Brisbane, Australia). Everything, including accesories were present and accounted for and everything worked as stated.

Not a problem at all, and would not think twice about using them again

I live in Louisville, KY and I have actually been to their store several times. Unless you have been there and know the location, you will have a hard time finding it. The store is actually a trailer and sits behind I believe is a rest stop. I have to say that they were the best price around and I've never had any issues with them.

Well as promised , this is my update on Gi Joes .
My radio turned up about a week and a half after I was emailed it had been shipped , this is a reasonable shipping time to Australia given we had a public holiday during this time as well.
I would like to point out that it was very well packed for transport , being packed in a much larger cardboard box filled with packing foam to minimise any possibilty of physical damage from any sort of extreme impact.
The radio ( Galaxy DX959 ) seems to work well ( I paid for a peak and tune ), I had a report of it being off frequency but when I brought it inside and put it on the scope and frequency counter it only showed to be 300 hz of frequency e.g 27.405,30 . I allow for tolerances in all things here ok , eg: test equipment accuracy , operating temperature etc etc . So at this point I wont get hung up over one lot of feedback that may have come from someone who has a crook radio or no idea or both !

So at the end of the day I would confirm from my own experience that Gi Joes IS NOT AN INTERNET SCAM as suggested by the author of the original report here .
The service from this business has been inline with the service of any other legitimate business I have dealt with in the USA other than to say they did not supply a parcel tracking number .. So maybe Wes Noe if you read this you might look at a slight change of policy in that dept .. ??

I placed an order before I read the bad news about this company , however I will watch it all very closely.
To this point other than not providing a tracking number there is nothing particularly unusual so far, albeit it took about a week to ship my order from the time I placed it . There may very well be legitimate reasons for this but none offered via email to explain . (One does have to consider that stock might have had to be ordered in or something like that)

I am somewhat baffled by this and it makes me somewhat suspicious .
How do I know if my order is 2 days late ?
Its an international Order , it could very well get held up in customs causing it to be more than 7 days in transit although I have paid a premium freight price for a 3 - 5 day delivery.
Having the tracking number ( assuming there is one ! ) would tell me this without having to bother the vendor with time consuming emails and or expensive phone calls.
I should add that my card wasn't charged until today as well , I have been watching that very closely .

In all fairness , I will update this once my order has arrived and if all is as it should be, I will say so . Every American company that I have dealt with online has so far been an excellent experience so far , I sincerely hope the Staus Quo remains .

My objective for this post is to express my feelings mid-transaction with "Gi Joes"
it is not intended cast the company in a bad light as much as to highlight a unusual practise .
Maybe someone can enlighten us ?

I found this report tonight, and I have to say it is wrong, at least in the major part.
GI Joe's is a real business located in Richmond, KY. Why the local police don't know about it is beyond me. It is a radio store that sales and services radios and radio products. It is located beside the 76 truck stop and has been there for many years. I have been in the store many times, and yes, due to their location next to the truck stop, and the truck drivers buying or having work done on their radios, there is always a line to wait in to be waited on. Every day, as soon as they open, and uintil they close, its standing room only there.

I am not nor have been employed by this company however will be more than happy to back up the fact that gijoes radios is in fact a real company that I have personally visited as well as mail ordered a couple of radios from and have never had any problems once so ever.

GI Joe's Radio Electronics is a real company. You can look it up on Google maps. The map pin is off by a few hundred yards but it is close. we are at the travel ceneter I-75 Exit 97 in KY.

We are currently ranked about 148,000th most visited website in the world and 26,000th in the US out of over one billion websites. We are extremely busy and do answer dozens of phone calls and emails every day along with handleing our walk in customers.

We owe our success to word of mouth advertising. It is done much better for us than any advertising you can buy.

The guy who made the complaint says our store does not exist at all. Ok. How did he buy the antenna from us?

I am not sure exactly what his complaint was. We never received any emails from him. All of our emails are usually answered within a few hours, ocassionally a day or two if we are really swamped. We have not received any chargebacks in the last few months that I am aware of. Credit card compaines will not usually allow a chargeback to stand if the buyer received the item.

Note: The President & CEO of the KY BBB is one of our regular walk in customers. His name is Neil. We have never had a complaint registered with them.

This seems like a poor practice to let persons post any thing they want without checking into it at all. At least they allow a response. The up side is that even bad advertising such as this ultimatly brings more customers to know us and buy from us. We enjoy our jobs here and enjoy making our customers happy, the vast majority are very nice but there is always that one out of a few hundered that can be very, very difficult.
