I guess my story is the same as everyone else's. I feel so stupid and angry with myself for falling for something like this. I'm not a stupid person, and I now know that there are other people who aren't stupid either who fell for the same thing. I'm not going to get into the how or why of my reasoning to buy the home theater system...out of a truck...in a parking lot...outside of a Home Depot.

I was coming out of Home Depot and these 2 guys were driving through the parking lot in a nice, dark blue, truck. I'm not sure the make and model, but it looked like a Ford F150 or something similar to that. They were asking who wanted to buy a home theater system for super cheap.

I made them open up the box and they showed me the system, the invoice, the $3,999.00 label price, and told the story about how their company had ordered too many and if they didn't sell them before tonight, they would have to give them to their supervisor who wouldn't give them any money for it, or something like that.

Stupid me decided to buy them. They tried to tell me they just got $500 for it from some lady at some other parking lot. I thought I was being smart in talking them down to $150. Boy was I wrong.

The best thing I can tell you to help you avoid getting ripped off is that they were both white males, probably in their late 30's early 40's. The driver was around 6'0", fat, balding with a pony tail, and stubble on his face, smoking a cigarette. The passenger was also tall, around 6'0" with a goatee and blue eyes. The driver had a magnetic "healing bracelet" and the passenger had a smaller bracelet and necklace.

Genesis MediaGenesis Media Labs Home Theater System/Parking Lot Scam Tucson Arizona

AUTHOR: Anonymousaz - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, November 13, 2008

I think the guy a little further below my story who was ripped off in Chandler, AZ may have been ripped off by the same guy/guys as me. Looks like they're making rounds in our state. I noticed he gave a phone number of the thief, so I am going to do the same. The guy gave me a business card. It says his name is Keith Hall, owner from Unlimited Sound "Where the sound is unlimited". The address on the card is 3726 W. Roanoke Phoenix, AZ and the phone number is: 480-540-7093. I Google'd the address and came up with a business, but there is NO Unlimited Sound in Phoenix.

Also on a side note, if you have been to the website where it says "Contact our service representatives" the link only brings you to a fax number and email address.

Can't someone bring an end to the website too?
