Grease Monkey , are Thieves!! Do not trust them!! They tampered w/ my DRINK! Thornton Colorado

The evening of Thursday, February 15th, 2007, at 5:00pm MST I brought my car to the location above to get a regular service oil change. This will be my LAST visit for the reasons mentioned below:

On the way to your shop, I decided to stop by a nearby gas station to fill up my tank. At the gas station I purchased a BRAND NEW bottle of Gatorade (orange flavor) and put it in the back seat car so I can drink it later. (Note: I double-checked and the safety seal was in tact and was not broken on my drink).

Fast forward to around 5:00pm when I pulled up to your Grease Monkey location on Colorado Blvd. just north of 120th ave. All three bays were full so I expected it was going to be a long wait. The initial attendant advised it would be about 30 minutes or so, which is understandable because it was near the end of the day.

Fast forward to 40 minutes later, they FINALLY changed my oil as planned. I paid with my check card and drove off to my next destination. As I was driving, I noticed my windows were clean but my usual interior vacuuming was not done. Not a big deal but definitely noticeable since this was not the norm with your company.

Then I remembered my Gatorade I purchased earlier lying there on my back seat. I reached for my BRAND NEW drink and proceeded to open it. As I was opening the cap, I noticed the safety seal was broken which is unusual since I just bought it about 45 minutes ago. Then I looked at the contents of the Gatorade bottle and it looked as if someone had opened it and helped themselves to a drink (more like a gulp) from MY bottle! That pretty much GROSSED me out because who knows what else the perpetrator could have done to it.

I immediately phoned the shop and asked to speak w/ the manager on duty. I spoke with John (no last name). I explained to him what had happened and he agreed this was unacceptable and will confront the individual(s) who worked on my car.

I realize it's JUST a bottle of Gatorade but that's not the point here. It's the fact that I CANNOT trust my car in the hands of your workers ANYMORE while it's not in my sight. I had to sift through all my PERSONAL belongings inside my car to MAKE SURE nothing else was tainted with or worse, MISSING! I trusted your company enough to bring my car back to you every 3000 miles or so, using my hard earned cash to pay for a fairly simple service.

I have now LOST all TRUST with Grease Monkey, no matter what location and will NEVER, EVER bring my car back! I am planning to tell EVERYONE I know about my TERRIBLE experience and as all you corporate guys know NEGATIVE word-of-mouth spreads FAST and isn't too good for the bottom line!

Grease Monkey corporate contacted me and got me in touch w/ the owner of the shop. He promised a refund for my oil change, but is has been 3 weeks already and no refund. I'm not surprised. Do NOT TRUST THEM - they are crooks!
