I bought a dog from Drew Podietz of Grendal Lair Fila. I talked to him on the phone and emailed him before making the purchase. I really thought he was the right choice for the puppy but as soon as I paid him everything started falling apart. When it was time to ship the puppy there were all kind of excuses and then he wanted more money because he said shipping had gone up with the gas prices. I had no choice but to send him another 250.00 on top of the already sent 2000.00 The puppy was finally shipped and was in terrible condition. He was skin and bones and his skin looked like it had been burnt by laying in urine. I took him to the vet the next day and not only did he say this puppy had parvo and would most likely not make it through the week but the puppy was not 9 weeks old like the breeder said. The vet said the puppy was maybe 5 weeks old at the most. My vet said the only reason he could see for the breeder lying about the age of the puppy and sending him early was that he probably has Parvo issues in his kennel and wanted the puppy out of there before the mother's immunity wore off. Sadly the little guy didn't make it and died 3 days after arriving here. I have all of the Vet records and will be taking this breeder to court. After researching more into this breed I learned that he is not in New Jersey like he led me to believe. He is in Alabama but uses a cell phone with a 609 area code and PO Boxes. He told me he traveled with his job and was working on the 911 structure which turned out to be false information also. I also found other people who had been lied to and they called his kennel Grendal Liar instead of Grendal Lair. Now I know why. Please if only one person reads this I will be happy. Please do not buy a puppy or dog from this person. He does not care about them. I called him after the puppy died and he screamed at me telling me I must have did something to him and hung up on me. Now my calls won't go through. He scammed me out of 2250.00 and gave me a very sick and dying puppy.

I am the breeder that is being slammed on this website.. First of all I would like to say this posting about me is nothing but a lie. Due to the fact that there is a grp of woman who nothing better to do with there time other than to make up lies about other breeders to attempt to eliminate the competition
First thing I would like to state is I never sold or have given away a puppy to a woman named Sharon or anyone that lives in Port Washington NJ. Only one family in NJ has one of my puppies and they live in Cherry hill NJ,they have had this puppy since 2003 .I have never sold a puppy for $2000.00. I have never had parvo in my kennel. the last time I put a puppy on a plane was DEC 2007 to Pittsburgh PA and the time before that was November 2002 to Ca .
This person claims I did her wrong where is the proof that I sold her a puppy. Where is the canceled check,money order ,western union,pay pal, receipt which the payment was made to me??.What airline was the puppy shipped on and where is the airway bill to show I did indeed ship her this puppy. The copy of the health certificate from the veterinarian I used . What breeding and when was this litter born that she got this puppy from...this person is fraudulent person she doesn't even exist

I was just threatened by the breeder that I got the sick puppy from. He called me telling me if I say anything more about him he will make my life so bad I will regret ever knowing him. I already regret knowing him. The puppy I got from him died 3 days after he was shipped. He hadn't been fed properly and his bones and ribs were showing through, he didn't have any vaccines or worm medication and died from Parvo. On top of all that I now have the breeder Drew Podietz of Grendal Lair Kennel threatening me. I cannot believe someone could be that heartless and uncaring.
